  • Eastwood at SEMA 2010 Wrap Up

It was a great year at SEMA 2010, and we want to thank everyone for following our posts on our blog and Facebook! We were astounded by the great diversity of vehicles at the show this year! I definitely noticed a lot of "odd-ball" cars coming out of the woodwork and being displayed around the show. I would have to say the star vehicle of the show seemed to be the new Chevy Camaro. It seemed everywhere you went, there was a different company displaying their take on this revision of an old classic. Even though I'm not a muscle car guy at heart, I can definitely see the cues from the original Camaros and the possibilities for tuning and modifying them are endless!

Here are some highlights from our last 24 hours at the show. I even managed to sneak in early Friday morning to shoot some photos of cars that had been mobbed all week with no interruption. Thanks for the feedback, and we'll see you all next year!

  • SEMA 2010 Day 3 Eastwood Exclusive

Yesterday was a busy day forEastwood at SEMA as well as APEX. A few of us went over to APEX to check out the newest products on the horizon. I still managed to get you guys some photos of a few more stand out cars vehicles/displays from the show. I must say that the guys over at PPG had a booth that was "on-point". From the booth to the beautiful pair of Cadillacs, I was very impressed! I also noticed there is an abundance of cars with vinyl wraps. I heard of an extremely well done Bugatti that is on display with a very cool wrap. I'll be sure to get some shots today!
Also keep an eye out for some photos and videos with our contest winner Tom Shinn!

  • Day 2 SEMA 2010 Eastwood highlights.

Tuesday was our second day of the show, and the first day it was open to the public. We met with some magazine writers, editors, and even some "big wigs" at EbayMotors. We have some exciting partnerships/promotions in the works, so keep eye here, and on our Facebook for any new developments after SEMA. I also noticed that there seems to be an influx of properly painted flat paint cars (no spray bombed rides here!). I think we may start to see more and more "newer" cars rocking the flat paint on their rides. This also leaves you to focus on the wheels/interior/engine more it seems.

For now I leave you with my shots from day 2. Post a comment up of your favorite show vehicle from day 2 photos. I'd love to see what everyone is digging.

  • We're here! Sneak peak to SEMA 2010.

Everyone made it, and even our bags made it! Fresh off the plane, we got to meeting our friends over at V8TV to shoot a quick intro video to our SEMA blog. We then breezed through the show floor to get a sneak peak of the booths "to watch" as they were set up. I snapped off a few pictures for everyone. I can already tell there is going to be some pretty awesome stuff displayed this year!

Enjoy the video and pictures, and let me know if you want to see anything in particular!

  • And the winner is.......

    The Eastwood Company Announces

The Winner of the Dream Ride Tour Contest

Winner to Drive Five Exotic Sports Cars in One Day

And Attend the SEMA Show in Las Vegas

October 28, 2010 – Pottstown, PA – Tom Shinn has been tinkering with cars since he was 13 years old.  He said that he was totally amazed to find out that he was the winner of Eastwood’s Dream Ride Tour Contest and that he would be leaving for Las Vegas next week to attend the SEMA Show and then have a day of driving exotic cars.

“At 54, I’m as excited as a kid to be going to the SEMA show and spending a day driving five dream cars, including Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorana, Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder, Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren, Aston Martin V8 Vantage or Corvette Z06,” Mr. Shinn said.

When Shinn decided to enter the contest he thought to himself, “Why not.  These cars and the SEMA show would be an event that any car guy would love. This is a once in a lifetime thrill.”  In fact, he mentioned, that this is the best thing that has happened to him since he got married.

As an Eastwood customer, he’s been restoring cars since the early 70’s, everything from Muscle cars, trucks, 4x4’s and motorcycles. “There is not a car that exists that I’m not interested in,” Shinn noted.  He’s used the Eastwood Powder Coating kit and says, “the system is great.”

Shinn’s enthusiasm with cars and motorcycles began young as he tinkered with bicycles - changing, modifying and customizing before becoming a teenager.  “Growing up on a farm and restoring and repairing things were just a part of life,” Shinn noted.

Eastwood’s Anniversary Dream Ride Tour contest randomly chose one grand prize winner, Tom Shinn.  He will be flown from New Jersey to Las Vegas where he and his wife will enjoy an unforgettable four-day, three night stay filled with once in a lifetime opportunities.

Eastwood will be exhibiting at the SEMA show, which draws the industry's hottest products and attracts over 100,000 industry leaders from 100 countries featuring performance, accessories, restoration and motor sports products.

Eastwood will also have four new products in the New Product Display area.  These include:
