In this episode of Eastwood’s ‘Shop Talk,’ Kevin Tetz talks with Rick Harris, Custom Painter & Pinstriper, who for over 30 years has been producing a phenomenal body of work and shows little sign of stopping.
Not everyone has a watershed moment they can look back upon, but for Rick it was back in the spring of ’69.
Harris was 21 years old and wanted a Z-28 Camaro, but settled for what he could afford, a Volkswagen Beetle. In an effort to spruce it up, Rick pinstriped that car and took it back to the dealership to show it off. Before he left, he was offered a job pinstriping Beetle’s for the dealership.
The rest, as they say, is history, and a rich one at that.
So sit tight, listen to Kevin & Rick chat it up as they touch upon Rick’s illustrious career while discussing his philosophy of incorporating fine art with automobiles.
