    • Kerry Johnson- 1970 Mustang, 1964 Galaxie

"On Sept. 11, 2012 a flood retention dike broke and the flood hit my home and workshop; here's a youtube video of it hitting our home: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bpE-IgiUifM our home is the tan brick home the flood is hitting the garage doors head on. It also hit the workshop in back of our home, devastating it I had a restored 1970 Mustang 428 CJ car there and was working on a frame off restoration of a 1964 Galaxie 500. The frame. engine and drive train were completed; the body is also complete, but had not been mounted on the frame. I had been collecting NOS and new aftermarket parts for the car for the last 10-12 years and those parts were spread out on the floor as I was getting ready to put the body on the frame and assemble it. I don't know what parts I have left or what condition they're in yet; I've been working to get our home livable again. The flood damaged my Eastwood 135 Mig welder, but you graciously sent me a new liner and I have managed to get it working again; thank you. The flood also damaged two other welders I have, but I haven't tried to get them working yet. Much more damaged; 5 garage doors destroyed, drywall, carpet, paint, HVAC equipment in our basement etc. damaged and destroyed. I'm working at getting things put back together, but the size of the task is daunting and I'm not as young as I used to be; I'm 60 years old now. No insurance or government aid applies, we are on our own. I don't know that I deserve to win more than others do because I have no idea what other people are dealing with. Thank you!"

    • Brain Reeves- 1965 Mustang

"When I was 18 I lost a very dear close friend to a car accident. I purchased a 1965 mustang coupe from her parents that was her car. I m ade a prom ise to m yself that I would build the car in her m em ory. I have kept the car and bounced it from garage to garage for going on 24 years now. It sits in my garage now waiting for me to continue what I had started. In the time I have owned the car I have gotten it down to rolling chasis and collected come parts. However I have also gotten married and fathered three beautiful boys who happen to take m ost of m y tim e and m oney. My wife has been patient with m e and understands the meaning of this car in my life. It's funny but when I talk to friends I have kept in touch with they always ask if I still have the car. My reply is always "of course, I still need to finish it!" Anyway I try to work on it when time and funds permit. Unfortunately that is few and far between. I am at the metal work and body work stage. I need to repair some rust issues and snad and prep the body for paint. So I appeal to your sense of com m itm ent and dedication to honor m e with the prize to com plete m y prom ise to a fallen friend. Thank You for the consideration Brian Reeves To the memory and dedication of Ann "Charlie" Beall. You are gone but not forgotten! Love and miss you every day."

    • Dana Gabbard- 1946 Ford Convertible

"My dad is 72 years old. He has a 1946 Ford Convertible that he has had since his twenties. It is in pieces. I have always dreamed of having a street rod and auto body shop. Dad has always supported me in everything, including getting my business off the groung. Five years ago I purchased a building and made a go of it. Dad is there to help every day not expecting anything in return. We have survived a tough economy where I work very long hours just to see that my employees and all of the bills get paid, and Dad is right there supporting me all the way. He has sacrificed being able to put his car on the road to see that I achieve my dream. It is hard to see him grow older each year and not have his car together. My dad lives his life for others. For as long as I can remember, he had dressed up as Santa and gone to hoses of Family, Friends, and complete strangers on Christmas Eve and Christmas morning with candy canes he buys himself, just to bring joy to others. He is so selfless and deserves to have that car driveable while he can still enjoy it. $2,500 in Eastwood credit would go a long ways in getting some of the products and materials needed to get his project going. Please help me in saying thank you to my dad, Dana Gabbard, a great man who deserves it. Thanks Marc Gabbard Yakima, WA"

    • Keith Paine- 1957 Chevy 3100 Truck

"I am a state trooper in upstate NY. I also have a 57 chevy 3100 pickup that I have restomoded from the ground up. On 3/2/11 while I was working patrol parked behind a disabled vehicle I was struck from behind at 59mph (radar on monitoring speed) by a full size nissan pickup. The accident left me with three herniated disk in my neck and nerve damage and I needed over a years worth of therapy (of which I continued to work full time) to resolve just to find out that I would need surgery on my left shoulder (fully detached labrum and damaged bursa of which I recieved 2 months ago). I should be fit for full duty and able to start my project again in another couple of months. Needless to say, my 57 chevy pickup has sat 80% completed for about 20 months now. Nothing like watching your pride and joy of a vehicle sit all summer long (for two summers!) because you can't do the small things to get it going. Because of my injuries, my wife has also worked (an ER R/N) only about 1/3 of what she used to forcing her to take a part time position just to take care of me and our son leaving us financially down as well. My truck is a 57 chev 3100 w/ a 72 corvette 350 turned into a 383 stroker fuel injected and a stage 1 th350. Mustang II front end w/ disk brakes. The metal work is done with a ton of custom fabrication. I notched and boxed the frame lowering it @6". Shaved door handles, custom interior frenched lights. Eastwood is a great company and even if I didn't get selected I'll continue to buy your quality products. thanks, Keith"

"I married my girlfriend of 14 yrs finally and we have a son with cerebral palsy so I put my car aside to marry her and pay for a house in 2008, by 20011 she had cheated on me and left with the neighbors 20 yr old son. leaving me with two sons to raise alone. I'm still trying to track her down to get served with divorce papers. I have a 68 camaro in my carport under my car cover that I stare at every day and wonder why I invested so much time and money in her instead of my car, cause its still here !" -Anthony Franqui
