Well, we won’t be handing out candy at home on Halloween, and neither should you, because if you’re a professional in the automotive aftermarket industry, you should be in Vegas, baby! The 2012 SEMA Show will be held in Las Vegas between October 30 and November 2, 2012, and it's the world's premier automotive specialty products trade event.
We make sure to attend every year, not because we like to play the slots, but because the SEMA Show draws the industry’s brightest minds and hottest products to one place. We especially like the "New Products Showcase", where we find all the latest innovations—and sometimes we exhibit our own new creations!
While it's true the show is not open to the general public (read: hobbyist), we'll make sure to report back on what we saw there, especially new products that make your resto work easier and more professional. In our case, whatever happens in Vegas DOESN'T stay in Vegas, because we take what we learn at the show home with us to Pottstown, Pennsylvania to bring the best and brightest automotive restoration products to you!

Just because the 2012 SEMA Show isn’t open to the public doesn't mean you can't attend!
That's because you can enter to win 2 tickets to the SEMA show, PLUS airfare, 4 nights accommodation and $500 spending money, when you visit Chief Automotive Technologies' Facebook page! You'll learn all the details there, including how to earn bonus entries.
Why would you want to go to the SEMA show, held in Las Vegas between October 30 and November 2, 2012?
Hey, it's Vegas, baby! Isn't that reason enough? Yeah, but the SEMA Show is also the world's premier automotive specialty products trade event. The show draws the automotive industry’s brightest minds and hottest products to one place. You'll especially love the "New Products Showcase", where you'll find all the latest innovations—especially Eastwood's new creations!
Good luck! If you win, be sure to look for one of us wearing an Eastwood badge as you work your way around the show!
Contest ends 11:59 pm (Eastern), Sept. 23, 2012.
We love getting product requests from our customers. The Eastwood tech department gets hundreds of requests, ideas, and suggestions a week as each of you tackle your projects. Two of our best selling products are our Eastwood Rubberized Undercoating and Rust Encapsulator, but many of you (myself included) are on a time crunch, and the time it takes to apply (and cure) two separate products can be tedious. After an overwhelming request from our customers we decided to combine these two products into a one-step process, our new Eastwood Rubberized Rust Encapsulator. Now you can fight rust with our popular Encapsulator formula while you reapply undercoating on your vehicle. Best of all you can spray this new Encapsulator directly over rust, while basic undercoating requires you prep the surface and rid it of any rust before applying.
While we were designing this new one-step product we didn't just mix the two vats of product together like you may think, we took the time to test and perfect the formula to assure you get the best of both worlds. We salt spray tested this new formula for over 500 hours to assure it will stand the test of time. To compare, most "exceptional" paints and coatings have a 200-250 hour salt spray duration, and low end paints and coatings are 100-150 hours. This alone makes it a no-brainer to use on your next project!
As always send us your ideas for new products and improvements on our current product line, we DO listen!
Every year we give a special sneak peak of our newest products to the staff of Source Interlink. Split between their offices are the talented folks that put together some of the best automotive magazines in the world. This year we had some exciting new products to show off. They eagerly watched as we unveiled them one by one. We will be launching some new Eastwood tools and chemicals that will change the way you do things! Stay tuned as we launch some of these exciting new products this summer!
Along the way we took some pictures of the projects they have sitting in their shops. You may notice some of the well known magazine project cars. From the Car Craft twin turbo monster to the Hot Rod Magazine El Camino and the "Field Find" Buick Convertible, they all were there! Make sure you check out all of the photos, I'm sure some of these cars will look familiar!
Stay tuned for more pictures and stories from our visit to the LA area. We met some well-known hot rod builders (that were Eastwood fans themselves!), and saw some incredible cars! Watch this space....[thethe-image-slider name="Source Interlink 2012"]
