  • 2014 Street Rodder Road Tour Impala Reassembly

The body then went to primer and paint and was covered in a lovely shade of deep red. This thing is REALLY red, reminds me of the red found on a certain Italian super car manufacturer. With the body all painted and assembled the crew married the body and the roadster shop chassis together and continued reassembly. This is where the fun (and stressful!) part of the project begins. As each shiny part is bolted to the car the Impala takes shape and we can really see how great this thing is going to look rolling down the street.   Click Here To Read Full Post...
  • Bay One Customs Cameo SEMA Truck Build Candy Paint Job Sneak Peak

T.C. and crew have been very busy working on their Project Cameo Truck build for SEMA 2013 this year. We recently shared some DIY videos that TC put together with tips for spraying and clearing a candy paint job (view them here) on the center console for the truck and we couldn't wait to see the entire truck in that beautiful candy red!

Luckily we didn't need much patience and T.C. sent us some teaser shots of the truck in the spray booth. We wanted to share these photos with you. They're sneak peaks, we'll get you better ones as the truck goes back together! The truck is covered in Eastwood coatings from our primers, based with T.C.'s secret base coat (we'll release it soon!), Eastwood Candeez Vino Rojo Candy Paint, and countless coats of Eastwood European Urethane Clear Coat to get this amazing finish! We can't wait to see the truck start to come together. TC is working on some other DIY videos and we'll give you some more sneak peaks as soon as we get them!

  • An Electric Restoration- Part 3 Putting Some Color on the Body

Since the last time we checked in with Wayne he has turned his attention to the body work and paint on his Chevy S10 electric restoration project. Luckily Wayne spent the time to find a rust-free and nearly dent-free base for this project, so with a little sanding and minor body work he was ready for some Eastwood Buff Tan Urethane Primer Sealer Surfacer to seal and level the body with. After some block sanding Wayne (and his wife of course!) decided on Eastwood Pin Up Red Urethane Paint or as he calls it "lipstick red". The paint went on with little hassle and Wayne has been busy assembling the firewall and wet sanding and buffing the body. We can't wait to see some proper photos of the truck fully assembled and sitting outside the shop, that red REALLY pops!
