  • A Kustom Kaiser Catches Jay Leno's Eye.

Each year when we hit SEMA we try and showcase our favorite vehicles at the show in our coverage here on the blog, YouTube, Facebook, and our other social media outlets. This year a Kustom Kaiser caught our attention on setup day and we were able to catch up with builder Keith Charvonia to shoot a feature on his car. We were blown away by the attention to detail. Keith also told us he was going to be hitting the show circuit hard this year after SEMA.

Fast forward a few months and Keith sent us an update on Project Drag'n. It turns out his Kaiser has caught the attention of some BIG names in the car world. Recently Jay Leno asked for Keith to come on an episode of Jay Leno's Garage to talk about the car. If you know anything about Jay's taste in cars, he likes the best of the best. Watch the Jay Leno's Garage site for the upcoming feature, but until then you can watch our interview at SEMA where Keith debuted the car below.

We've also heard some whispers about David Freiburger pushing for a feature on the Kaiser in an upcoming issue of Hot Rod Magazine. I'd say it's going to be a good year for Drag'n and Keith!

  • I Say, Old Chap, Would You Care To Host Your Own Car Restoration Programme?

Time to dream! Your road to fame and fortune runs through London! Here's a thought-provoking nugget I found on the carenthusiast.co.uk blog...

A UK television production company, Betty, is looking for two presenters and a team of mechanics to host a new car programme.

The programme will feature the two presenters traveling across the globe to find rare and rundown classic cars, bringing them back to the UK and restoring them to their former glory. The hosts will also look into the history of the models, speaking to various enthusiasts, designers and production workers along the way. According to Betty, the new show will be "nostalgic and inspirational", and will aim to deliver "retro cars in an aspirational light."

They're looking for two people who ideally have an expert knowledge of car restoration, are passionate about the history of cars, and have big personalities who can bring the show to life. So, if you think you meet the above criteria and fancy a career in television, contact the producers:

  • Drop the ratchet, grab a brewski and enjoy the show!- Overhaulin' TV Show Returns

Uh oh...now I'll have less time to work on cars, because I'll be watching OVERHAULIN' instead! Maybe you heard that all-new editions of the Velocity network's definitive car restoration series will be returning October 2, with design expert Chip Foose again hosting the show.

If you're a resto nut (why else would you be on Eastwood.com?), this is "appointment television." After all, as the father of the modern hot rod and head of the iconic Foose Designs, Foose is revered by gearheads everywhere. His car builds represent the ultimate combination of art, technology and ingenuity, creating some unique and breathtaking vehicles you'll drool over.

However, the all-new OVERHAULIN' also goes beyond the garage, exploring interesting human stories and the strong emotional connection between man and machine. The restoration projects feature deserving individuals ranging from returning veterans to those negatively impacted by the tough economy. Each altered auto becomes a life-changing surprise for its unknowing owner.

Just know—if you're looking for me on the night of October 2, I'm the guy on the couch, guarding the TV remote.
