Maintenance M Soda Blast Media is the ideal mild abrasive formulated with enviro-friendly sodium bicarbonate (baking soda). M media is composed of a soft crystalline structure making it a natural water soluble and inorganic compound. Clean and remove virtually any coating from almost any substrate. Media is developed with a premium moisture control system, which coats each crystal, making it almost completely waterproof. M is for the regular cleaning tasks. For more aggressive applications, XL (made with the largest crystals), is the preferred choice for paint removal applications. Grit Size = 150 microns Coating = MoistureGuard 2 (tolerates twice as much moisture as regular baking soda)
Grit size is 150 micron, includes "moisture guard" additive to eliminate clumping and sporadic flow typical of competitor's products. Use this media for removal of old enamels and lacquer coatings.
Use our #50417 Galvanized funnel with sifter screen to assure contaminant free abrasive is being added to your pressure tank.
Use with our #50095 100lb blaster, or our #50096 110lb blaster. The soda media will remove urethane, epoxies, enamels and lacquer top coats along with virtually every primer for automotive and marine use. Use soda to strip coatings from fiberglass from auto and boats and even blast and prep wheels for paint without dismounting the tire! Note: Soda alone will not remove rust. You will need to use our abrasive medias for heavy rust removal. Use our #50494 for a blend of soda and aluminum oxide for rust and corrosion removal.
