About Eastwood Detail Gray Paint Quart

This Detail Paint is specially formulated to duplicate the original look of die cast and stamped steel. Protected up to 300 degrees F by this paint, metal parts will keep that brand new look for a long time. Available in aerosols and quarts. One aerosol covers 6 sq.ft., one quart covers 50 sq.ft., acrylic lacquer, natural low 4-15% gloss. Great on alternator and distributor housings. Buy 3 or more, mix and match, and SAVE!

Detail Gray is the finish of choice on die cast components, like distributor and alternator housings, and many stamped steel parts. Detail Gray is an acrylic lacquer. One quart covers approx 48 sq ft, and withstands up to 300 degrees F. To spray, thin 10-20% with lacquer thinner. To remove grease and oil, use PRE Painting Prep (10041 Z). Detail Gray can be used on bare metal or for greater durability, use Self Etching Primer (16014 Z) Aerosol, or (16009 ZP) Quart. Use these products in a well ventilated area, or wear a respirator like our Pro Respirator (34029).
