Eastwood Concours LT HVLP Paint Gun 1.3mm is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 31.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from works as advertised, but has some issues I bought this to use on a 29 gallon compressor, but by the time I used it I bought a 60 gallon. The air consumption is almost funny, it barely uses any. Even if you have a huge compressor, its nice not having it kick on and stay on while spraying. #1 issue thats not a big deal, a 600mL cup is too small and Eastwood does not offer a 1000mL for it, but thats ok I bought one for $20 elsewhere. #2 issue and a significant one, the black coating on the outside of the gun is also on the inside, and its slowly coming off and shooting out the tip. not cool. I primarily use it with the 2.0mm nozzle for spraying evercoat slick sand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Concours LT gun performed as advertised. I bought this gun to paint a 1931 Ford roadster with correct for the period acrylic lacquer and hadn't painted a car in about 30 years. I followed the setup instructions to the letter and made sure I had correct air pressure at the gun using a pressure gauge at the gun, a 1.3 tip and it performed flawlessly for both color coat as well as clear coat. I used a 29 gallon compressor with an oil and water filter set up in line and I was super pleased with the quality of the results I was able to achieve. The finish will only need minimal color sanding and buffing to get the final finish I want. I would absolutely recommend the Concours LT gun to anyone wanting to do their own paint.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Concours LT gun. Needed a gun that would spray clear and I'm a rookie painter. I didn't want a really expensive gun because I don't paint very often. I'm painting my "54" 1/2 ton chevy truck using this gun using your Cruise Night Blue paint and it sprays beautifully. It adjusts well I can make the pattern very small for tight areas without running the paint. I'm very pleased with the gun. I've never sprayed with an expensive gun so I don't know what the difference would be. One thing that's NOT very good is you need the eyes of an eagle to see the graduations on the cup......come on Eastwood how did you miss that?...Anyway keep up the good work.

This maybe a silly question but , the cfm 4 @ 30 psi, is this at the gun or with the trigger pulled all the way? Also is there a maximum pressure for this gun?

Asked by: Jamsie
The CFM consumption would be with the trigger pulled all the way. As for maximum pressure you generally do not want to run above 30 PSI as this would cause over atomization of the paint.

Can this gun shoot flake? I imagine so with the 1.7 or 2.0 tip ?!?! I'm only painting small parts but flake is a must. Thanks!!!

Asked by: Tack Bradley
This spray gun can certainly spray flake. Most flakes will even spray through the 1.3 tip that would come with it.

FAQs

Please note that many variables affect the adjustment of a paint gun including paint viscosity and type, atmospheric conditions such as humidity, barometric pressure and temperature as well as air inlet pressure and operator preference. Always 'tune' the gun before each use as prevailing conditions may not be the same as the previous use. It is always best to test spray on sheets of cardboard or masking paper with the actual paintyou will be applying while making your adjustments to become familiar with the gun and achieve the ideal Fluid Control Setting.

Safety

Always wear eye, skin and respiratory protection when painting. Always paint in a well ventilated area. Follow paint manufacturer's instructions and MSDS for specific safety warnings and precautions.

Warranty

1 year warranty

Application

A 5/16in I.D. minimum air hose at a 25' maximum length is strongly recommended for bestrresults. A smaller I.D. hose and greater length may produce unsatisfactory results. A clean, dry, regulated air supply is required. The use of an additional 'on the gun' regulator is strongly recommended to accurately control gun pressure while painting. Clean out the paint cup as well as the paint gun air and paint passages with a solvent such as Eastwood PRE or acetone to remove any residual manufacturing impurities before use. Dry thoroughly.
