Rated 5 out of 5 by from High Quality without the High Price This hood is excellent. Very comfortable to wear as the internal saftey hat keeps it from resting against your face and head. Ventilation is superb. Has a wire mesh screen over the lens which will prolong the life of it. Very well made.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from why didn't i buy this sooner Fantastic piece of PPE. Good quality, works great, a respirator fits underneath as do safety glasses. Can't say enough about it. Still on the first lens after 20 bags of abrasive.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A must have. This hood however is well worth getting. The hood that came with the blaster I would consider disposable.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from mid quality item The lens had a gouge near the middle of the sight field found upon opening the carton and has taken scratches with only removal to clean the oil residue transferred from the screen cloth - oil that would otherwise attract and retain blast dust with initial use. I did not expect (soft) inferior glass to be provided with this product and the $5.00 price of replacement lens is less than the shipping fees.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Hood High quality, good design. Hood appears to be made to drape over shoulders, Problem is; it won't fit over my shoulders-so, it sort of hangs around them. Other than this; this is a great hood; keeps abrasive out of eyes and ears-makes a miserable job a little less miserable.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Fair The snaps that hold hood to helmet came unsnapped every time I turned my head. The helmet did not have a knob for adjustment. Both problems that I fixed and now its pretty good

About Deluxe Sandblasting Hood

Blast hood features heavy cloth construction with vinyl-reinforced front and side screen panels. Lens screen provides an additional layer of impact resistance. Includes bump cap with adjustable headband. Blast hoods are designed to protect eyes from rebounding abrasive; they do not provide ANY respiratory protection.

Safety

Blasting emits abrasive under pressure. Blast hoods are designed to protect the eyes and face of user from abrasives, but not from the dust. Adequate respiratory, eye and body protection must be worn during use. Inhalation of silica particles can cause cancer and other deadly diseases. Always wear appropriate NIOSH-approved respiratory protection when using abrasive-blasting equipment.
