The Black caliper paint from Eastwood is amazing. Mix it with the activator and brush it on. I put two medium coats as it says and it turned out perfect.

Questions & Answers
Does this paint have any resistance to dot3 or dot4 brake fluid?
As long as you wash off brake fluid and not let it stand on your paint, you should be okay. You may want to look in to powder coating as an alternative. More durable to fluids and normal braking heat.

Does the brake caliper paint require a primer? What kind
It does not. If your caliper has some pre-existing paint you can scuff it up with a scotch-brite or similar and paint over. If its bare metal that can be scuffed and painted over as well. Right before you paint make sure to wipe it down on our PRE painting prep or acetone works good as well.

So im purchasing the ceramic black caliper paint . Is the pn: 21854z 4:1 urethane activator what i need to use with the caliper paint?
Yes, #21854Z is the activator needed. This coating gets mixed 4:1 (4 parts paint to 1 part activator) before being applied.

Is this enough paint to paint 4 drums and 4 backing plates..
Yes, this should be plenty for the application in reference.
Date published: 2021-12-28
As my backing plate and drums have been cleaned but still are rusty brown in color should I spray with a etching primer before applying the"Prep Aerosol" and caliper paint? Will an "etching primer" hurt or help with the black frame paint as well?
These surfaces need to be completely rust free clean bare metal before applying any paint or primer.

Do I need to purchase the urethane activator with this paint?
The activator is not required but strongly recommended. It will give increased durability and adhesion in general as well as sheen.

Is there any way to see the instructions for this product? Is one kit enough to paint 4 disc brake calipers?
