Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Eastwood’s clutch fire, holographic, red metal, flake Use this with the quarter-mile candy red basecoat, and looked great. It was easy to use, but I had an issue getting it to lay flat. Keeping in mind, this was the first time I have ever painted a car with metal flake. With this being said I would recommend this metal flake because once I got clear over top of it and leveled out, it looked great.

Can you mix this into the Rat Rod Satin Urethane without top coating with clear?

Asked by: Scooty
Technically the answer is yes but, with a black base these will disappear into the black and you won't see them in the finished project. The better option would be to lay down a black base and then mix these into a satin clear. That way you get to see these while still getting a low gloss finish.

How much paint gloss would I need for a 03 Infiniti g35? It’s already custom painted but I’d like to add some kind of gloss to keep the paint on it from chipping as it is already. Thank you

Asked by: Ittybittyurs
One gallon kit of clear should be enough for the vehicle in reference depending on how many coats you plan on applying.

how big of a tip do you need to spay these flakes through?  do you recommend them as a mix in the paint, or as a mid coat?

Asked by: HIS Craftsmanship
Generally a 1.4 nozzle will be perfect. As for where you mix the flake this is completely up to you.
