Product Overview:

Description

The Eastwood Fender Finisher is a precision engineered tool designed for years of reliable service.

  • Flatten front fender lip inner flanges for tire clearance without fender damage
  • Straighten bent metal edges
  • Crimp door skin edges when installing new door skins
  • Includes replacement pressure pad

It was created to provide additional fender-lip-to-tire clearance on lowered cars and trucks or those fitted with oversize wheels and tires without the need to remove the wheels from the vehicle. Reviews

Rated 4 out of 5 by from are you human/ Cant bend metal? then buy these... I bought these to go along with the eastwood fender roller, which is great and a scam, if you have a 1990 chevy truck. but that is a different review. didn't really need them, just the right hand tool if I needed it. Well-made though, I hate the color blue, but I feel Eastwood can be trusted to provide quality made items, but if you order the fender roller and have a truck, get the adapter. Thant NO one tried to sell me. lol I mention I had a truck like 3 times. anywho great pliers tho

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great compliment to the roller Worked great on my 2010 Miata. This is good for finishing the tighter spots that the roller can’t access and for pressing the fenders totally flat.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fragile but useful. Fronts only. Don't lend. Disclaimer: i bought mine in roughly 2010.. but the images appear to be the same product. Background: I roll 90's-2000's japanese fenders. 300zx, 350z, na&nb miatas. Thinner sheet metal.. 3 stars because i feel it is not properly advertised. 1) I don't think it is possible to "fold" a fender without first starting with a hammer or roller to get the fender from 90deg to 45deg. 2) Correctly stated in the Q&A, this is too weak for most rear fenders where the sheet metal is spot welded and two layers thick. Miatas are probably too thick in the rear for this product. Once you bend these trying to fold sheet metal that is too thick, the tool never closes quite right again and is significantly weakened. So stay away from most rears.. and probably dont lend this tool.. BUT. This product shines as a finishing tool for front fenders. (Typically thin enough). Especially around pesky areas where the fender lip has mounting holes and tabs. I would roll as much as i could (usually 90°->25ish° from rolling) then use this to carefully complete the rolling in the front. I was able to achieve perfection on 350z front fenders because of this tool. It helps straighten out wavy sections too. No marring. But it can create wavy fenders if used too aggressively.

Questions & Answers

It appears that this tool would be ideal, along with a heat gun, for a small 'roll' or 'fold' of the rear fenders on my 2008 Mazda MX-5 (I only need a little extra clearance and not a full roll). Is this correct?
