OEM-matching finish under the hood
Details
Underhood Black™ is the perfect lacquer paint for the correct OEM-matching finish under the hood...choose semi-gloss or matte
Underhood Black™ Semi-Gloss is just the right 10-20 percent semi-gloss finish for most radiator supports, inner fender walls, underhood brackets, and other underhood parts. The Matte formula duplicates the near-zero gloss finish you find in many older cars for those parts. Both formulas resist chipping, scratches and light impacts.
- Exceptional adhesion for an engine-compartment paint
- Just degrease parts first for a factory-like finish
- 11-oz. aerosol can covers 6 square feet; 1-quart can covers 48 square feet
About Eastwood Underhood Black Paint
Underhood Black is the correct shade of black underhood paint for engine-compartment paint on radiator supports, inner fender walls, lug wrenches, jack bases, underhood brackets and other parts. Black underhood paints from typical hardware stores are either too thick, too glossy, or the wrong color.
Just clean, degrease, and prepare the parts well (use our Self-Etching Primers), then apply this engine-compartment paint for a professional, factory-like, underhood paint finish. Acrylic lacquer withstands up to 250 degreesF and goes on thin for a smooth finish that doesn’t hide surface details. Do not use with enamel primers.
Due to regulations pertaining to paint recycling, at this time we are unable to ship this product to Alberta, Canada.

Q. How do I apply this underhood paint?
A. Surface must be clean, dry, and free of dirt, grease and oil. For maximum protection, first prime with a self-etching primer or epoxy primer before top-coating. For best results, use when can is between 70 and 90 degrees F. This engine-compartment paint may be used over bare metal, self-etching primer, or Rust Encapsulator.
