This paint must be catalyzed with the included Urethane Activator (21856ZP). For increased depth and gloss, and, easier color sanding and buffing Clearcoat with Eastwood Urethane Clear, 2:1 Gallon with 2 of (50252ZP) Eastwood Urethane Clear Coat Activator, Quart. Be sure to apply Urethane finishes over properly prepped surfaces. For best durability prime bare metal with 50244ZP Eastwood Epoxy Gray Primer Gallon mixed 1:1 with 50245ZP Eastwood Epoxy Primer Catalyst. Use the 50240ZP Eastwood 2K Urethane Gray Primer Gallon mixed 4:1 with 50241ZP Catalyst Quart to help hide minor defects.

About Eastwood Straight Axle Red Pearl Paint

Eastwood's Straight Axle Red is a premium true acrylic urethane topcoat that provides exceptional long-lasting beauty and durability. This premium two component topcoat system is blended with top-quality raw materials and advanced composition coatings technology. Superior to acrylic, alkyd and lacquer coatings, a catalyzed urethane system offers unsurpassed durability and resistance to UV exposure, chemicals and annoying stone chips. Eastwood's line of paints will hold their gloss longer and won't yellow. 96 Fl. Oz 3:1 Single stage Topcoat system, requires 21856ZP activator

Clean surfaces of all contaminants. Abrade surface to be painted with a minimum of 320 grit sandpaper working up to a 600 grit for maximum adhesion. Re-clean surface. After shaking paint, mix 3 parts paint with 1 part activator. Use caution mixing materials as paint may begin to gel after 2 hours at 70ø. HVLP gun setting 8-10psi 1.4-1.8mm tip. This color is designed to give complete coverage in 2-3 coats. Allow 10 minutes flash time between coats, should be tack free in 45-60 minutes, full cure in 18 hours.
