Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy On,great product Put in my 40' hot rod, just finished the firewall and all of the components there in. The Eastwood Material was easy to put on , plus it does a great job I plan to put it in my 34 Ford next, well worth the price, which is a savings from the "other" name brand..Very pleased with the product, I recommend it to anyone that wants to shut out noise and heat.. I live in Az 112 today ,so heat out is important.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent Product Just installed on the floorboards and firewall in my 71 Charger with headers. Sound wise a big difference. As far as heat reduction, so-so. The driver's side firewall by my gas pedal gets to 180º during summer driving with the headers a few inches away from the firewall. With the Eastwood product it was reduced to 140º. The video only shows 20 seconds of heat on the metal. In the real world your driving your car for a longer period and with the constant heat from the headers (if your car has them)you probably won't see the same results as the video.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This stuff DRIPS don't use it Installed this in my Tan 1954 Tin Woodie and noticed a drip of black stuff coming out of my doors at the drip hole. I went to see the reviews on this stuff to see if anyone else was having problems and WOW! looks pretty bad for some of you out there. Wonder what Eastwoods doing about this as I have a box of this I was going to use on my new project.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My shop PaintWorks Unlimted in NHdid the install and was impressed! Im doing a complete resto on my 1967 Buick GS and I was considering useing a sound deading product but not sure what brand to go with. I get the email about this Thermo-Coustic Sound Deadener Material, after review of the video I decided to purchase it.. PaintWorks Unlimted in Dover NH who only specializes in auto restoration the shop who was doing the work on my car did the install and to there credit of excellent fine work they are very particular on any products .. Sean the owner at the shop notified me that the product was excellent on its ease of install and malleability more than the big brand name out. Totally so impressed with the product he will start using this foil in his shop exclusively for now on..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You gotta have it! I just finished doing a interior restoration on a 1965 Mustang coupe which I have owned for a year or so. When you drove this car in the summer before, you roasted from the exhaust heat from the trans tunnell and firewall! It is amazing how much difference this product makes. I covered the floors, kick panel areas, even behind the rear seat and sides. Not only is it much cooler, but you can carry on a conversation while driving! I would recomend this to anyone doing a restoration, or building a street rod. The Eastwood product is great quality and easy to cut and form.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible in warm climates Your thermo coustic sound deadener material is a very very poor quality. Like most car rebuilders, we purchased this in advance and stored inside our home waiting for our project to get to the installation stage. After all our hard work on the body metal, sanding, priming and final prime...we installed some inside of the cab around May 2014. Within 2 weeks your acoustic material was oozing out of any small areas and onto our freshly primed cab. We then had to gently remove this sticky mess (more work and time). The larger areas that we placed it on... were to difficult to remove...but you could see where all the black material had oozed down causing it all to be in one bunch under the metal tape. We cut some of this material away from any spot we thought it would seep out and sealed the edges with metal a/c tape. WHAT A HUGE DISSAPPOINTMENT!!!!! We immediately quit using, however are now left with 1 open and 2 unopened boxes which are worthless. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT FOR ANYONE IN ANY WARM STATE. WE ARE IN FLORIDA.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good product just got done installing this product on the mini tubs i installed on my mustang, easy to cut with a sharp utility knife, from the back side or the foil side. do yourself a favor and template as many pieces as you can, cut with utility blade on top of some plywood or cardboard and only peel off a portion of the paper while you get it in place. don't listen to some of the reviews that say it's hard to cut or it's too sticky, these people most likely rushed the job and tried to use the same blade to do the entire job. don't you want it to be very sticky, i do!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You NEED this stuff! I bought this a while back and finally started to install it after prepping the floor with Eastwood's rust stabilizer, which is also an awesome product! The sound deadener material is easy to cut with scissors and allows for a very clean install! I recently started my car with the new cats on it and the side with this stuff installed was much cooler than the side without. I could feel the difference which tells me the stuff works! I highly recommend this as it is less expensive than the name brand stuff and is just as good if not better in my opinion!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good, but requires work Product works well, but takes a good bit of work to cover a large vehicle (doors, panels, floor, firewall, etc.). It took about 4 times the time I allotted to fit all the bumps and curves, but other than that the install went well. The next time I do a full sized call or 100% of a vehicle I will try a spray product to save time. Worked as advertised so I can't complain. Install was a 70 Pontiac Le Mans.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome product!!!!! Being a novice at restoring vehicles, I am also restricted to a budget. I put this stuff on to the firewall of my '74 Gran Torino; even outside in the cold, it maintains its adhesion properties and pliability quite well! Sticks great! I am in the process of getting the rest of the cabin insulated, with the trunk being insulated next. Can't wait to see how well this works with the open headers on my 460, which is sure to give it a real test! A great buy! Only con I have is the fact that you need to keep lots of sharp utility blades around.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Product I bought this product in hopes of helping with my 1950 Chevy truck. With no insulation or sound deadener, I felt like i was in a tin can.. After installing the sound deadener on the roof, i immediately could tell the difference. i installed some more along the base of the truck behind the seats. What a great product. Thanks Eastwood!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow! I added offroad exhaust to my Roush Stage 3 and the drone at 80mph was mind numbing. It was difficult to hear a normal conversation and the sound quality of my sterio was affected. I stripped the interior and applied the Thermo-Coustic material. The install was very easy and straight forward, just wear leather gloves as the edges are sharp or in my case have a box of bandaides handy as I sprung a few leaks. The effect after the instal was dramatic. The drone is all but gone, conversation is easier and my sterio sounds much better. It's still not "Lexus" quiet but a HUGE improvement over stock. Would HIGHLY recommend this product to anyone. Came back to the site today to buy more, my intention is to fully encapsulate the interior. Buy it, it really works. RR

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product, will buy more The Eastwood Thermo-Coustic Sound Deadener Material is an excellent product. I purchased a box of it for my 69 Camaro and it was enough to do the floor of my interior. The product is easy to work with and it did an excellent job as a heat barrier and a sound deadener. Installation was very easy and the product cuts easily with a razor knife or heavy duty shop shears. When installing you should use a roller to flatten out the wrinkles and improve the adhesion. I used a wide caster (pack of 2 mattress frame casters at Home Depot for around $5) and rolled it over the material, it worked great! It took about 4 hours to install in my Camaro as I took my time and laid out the material to make the fewest cuts. I'm going to purchase more for the doors and maybe the trunk.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding product!!! I installed the material on the floorboards of my 1962 Pontiac Grand Prix. It was exceptionally easy to put in, better than another product used in the past. It conforms easily, adheres very well, and the package was adequate to do the entire floor. Unfortunately, the headliner was already in place, so I won't take it out to do the top, but I am looking forward to putting the car on the road to see just how cool and quiet it will be!! Kudos to Eastwood for bringing this to the restoration marketplace!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I was nervous when I saw some horror stories about this product melting/dripping. So I bought some for a project car and did some testing before installation. I rolled the dice knowing Eastwood would take it back if I was unhappy. I put a few pieces on several pieces of sheetmetal. I then exposed the pieces to 120 degrees of heat for an extended period of time (12 hours). The product didn't move, drip, detach,...... nothing. I then took a torch to it and it stood fast at 180 degrees. I never saw it drip, it eventually caught fire when I burned it with the torch for quite a while. So as long as you don't try to put it directly onto your exhaust system (why would anyone even think of this?), it performs great. This open forum of review can be abused. Has the formulation been changed or are there reviews in here from some guys that sell the same product at twice the price with a vested interest in "bashing" this product? Here's a great approach: don't take my word for it either. Try some yourself and give it a test. Great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best I have used I used Eastwood's Thermocaustic on one door and Raammat on the other. Eastwood's sound deadener blew away the Raammat. My panels actually sounded like they were filled with lead after applying the Eastwood product. I had to recoat the Raammat with Eastwood sound deadener to get the same results. The Eastwood Thermocaustic sound deadener is twice as thick and heavy as the Raammat . I will be ordering more Eastwood Sound Deadener for sure. As usual Eastwood sells nothing but great products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No complaints Unsure what the couple guys did that have oozing sound deadener, I have had no problems at all. Used it on my '79 Dodge Aspen with a 500" stroker big block. The car's been plenty hot and none of it has moved or ran out at all. The difference while driving the car from before to lining most of the interior sheetmetal is amazing. It went from being unbearabley noisy to tolerable, especially on the freeway. It's not new car quiet but it never would be no matter what products are applied.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Equal to Raamat Same as Raamat. Raamat is better value. Still this product is better value than Dynarat. Guy who posted this is better than Raamat is less than informed. Same product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 5 Stars ... Excellent Product I'm restoring my ' 67 Cutlass. After prepping the floor with Eastwood products, I wanted to line the interior with a sound deadening and heat resistant material. After reviewing several products out there, I chose Eastwood's Thermo-Coustic. It was very easy to apply, conformed nicely to the odd shapes of my floorboard, cuts and trims easily with a razor knife and adheres great. I would highly recommend this product and the price point is money in your pocket ... Thanks Eastwood !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Eastwood comes through...Wow! Bought some of this a couple of years ago and had some issues with it. Eastwood contacted me and it appears to have been a bad batch. They stood up and made it right and that is why I have spent thousands with Eastwood and will continue to do so. Make sure you use a good roller (available on here) to apply it and get all the air out from underneath all of it. Sound deadening is very good with this. Thanks Eastwood!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Keeping things in perspective I just finished an install of the Thermal Acoustic sound deadener and the " barrier. All though I mixed them because I didn't realize they were different. Easy to install, took the resonance right out of the panels. I didn't get carried away, just the floor and inside of doors, then the back wall and package tray. Oh, yeah, firewall is a must. Three big noise factors Road noise, wind noise, engine noise.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product! I have installed Thermo-Coustic from the firewall to the trunk, including the interior of the doors, in four cars and one pick-up truck. I first used it in my 1969 Chevrolet Nova to control the heat coming up from the exhaust headers. My "hot rod" was transformed into a "cool ride". The sound levels also became acceptable. I completely recommend Thermo-Coustic for any car a person wants to improve.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product I bought this product to put on the floor of my 68 Plymouth Fury. When I opened it and found how sticky and easly cut and formed it is, I decided I would use it under the engine cover (dog house) in my MotorHome. To say it stops the heat and engine noise from that big 460 Ford would be an understatement. It's like I bought a new RV when I'm driving. Can't wait to put it in my Plymouth.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great stuff! I've used this stuff on two diffewrent vehicles, and it is really great stuff! It insulates and helps deaden sound. It says not to use it on roofs, but I've heard of people doing it and it works fine; anyone have good luck with that? I want to put it on the roof of my vw bug, then put up the headliner. I don't want it falling down. Otherwise, I've never had any issues with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy install I used this in my 1967 Cutlass convertible. It was easy to cut and work with conforming to all the compound curves and bends of the floor. It fit so well you can clearly see the drain plug out lines on the rear floorboards. It really keeps road noise and exhaust heat down too. I'd buy this again. I shopped all the brands and this is the best deal going. Thanks Eastwood.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great!! I bought this product because off all the reviews here & this product does what it says, it deadens sound & quiets noise. I used it on my 1990 Mustang Gt .I was so impressed that I made my own before & after video of the roof. All you need is a sharp razor blade & the roller.I recommend this to anyone wanting to reduce the noise & heat & save money in the process.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic! I installed this stuff in my o4 gt mustang. It has an off road x pipe with resonators as mufflers. To say the least it is INCREDIBLY loud! I just installed 5 sheets in my truck and drove my car around. It has eliminated the droning noise going at a constant speed! this product is definitely worth the money! I cant wait to finish installing the rest.
