Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just OK I bought this to blast a 1969 mustang. I have done most of the car and Iam fairly happy with the results. There are a few items that need to be addressed on the unit. After about 20 runs the tee at the bottom has eroded right where the hose attaches and it is blowing sand everywhere. Also where the nipple screws into the top of the tank is poorly designed because it needs to be braced so that it does not sag. I took off the trigger because after 5 minutes of holding that open your hand is going to start to cramp. I would also recommend that you get lots of shield replacement because after about 4 runs your are not going to be able to see your work very well. I also bought a cheap tent off of e-bay to keep all the media from going all over the place.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from works fine for the money Basically the unit performed as expected, had no issues with function or operation. It did an exellent job on the first project that I used it on and this reveiw is based on that, more use will be the real test but as of now I'm very happy with the way it performed.(ran 150ibs. of blast media through it this time.) It definately does use up the blast media fairly quickly and I had to reload it quite a bit but that is not a deal breaker. You can regulate how much output the unit has. I would definately recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small machine with big machine features I bought this machine hoping I could spot blast rust and refinish equipment. I thought I would need more air and a bigger machine. After I put it together and went through the adjustments I found this thing can do a lot of work. It's well built and my compressor keeps up with it. I couldn't be happier. It does require common sense and some mechanical ability to operate. I have read some reviews where it was clear the people not the product were to blame for poor results. The best advice I can give is keep the tank full. As the media draws down it can interrupt flow.

What am I doing wrong. Pressure blaster works for 30 sec then clogs up. using 60 grit Black Beauty media. Any Ideas

Asked by: OldflyerII
Two things to check. Most importantly check grit size of media. This unit needs the grit size to be 80 grit or finer, Black Beauty is generally much more coarse. Second check manifold on bottom of unit, it should not be wide open.

Can crushed glass be used in this blaster

Asked by: Edd1
Crushed glass would be to abrasive for the unit. I would recommend an aluminum oxide or glass bead 60 grit or finer. The 60 grit media will work better in the unit then the crushed glass.

Can sand be used as media in this blaster? If so what size?

Asked by: Gaboy
Sand of any kind should not be used. Not only is it a severe health hazard, the material is far too abrasive and will harm the internals of the blaster.
