Eastwood Brush on Seam Sealer Quart is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 45.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great protection, user friendly Tried this product to restore the fender well undercoating on my 1979 VW Rabbit Diesel. First can worked perfect. Easy stiff brush application, non-sagging, seals and stays in place and it is thick enough to protect with just one coat. Experienced no pin hole problems and found that if you want a smoother finish than original consistency permits, try adding a little xylol to a side mixture of a small portion of the product until you get a consistency that smooths out more easily. Thinning, of course, might require additional coats. Had no reservations ordering a second can to finish the job. Both orders were promptly delivered. Have used other Eastwood products and would recommend them all.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I was able to use this product jsut as it was advertised. I used the seam sealer for my cowl seams it worked perfectly. I used an acid type brush with stiff bristles and it laid out perfectly. I would absolutely recommend this product to my friends.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great seam sealer! The brushable seam sealer goes on very easily and sets up relatively quickly and firm. No noticeable shrinkage and no sagging. My only complaint is that it is relatively thick and sets up a little too quickly for smoothing long sections. To smooth out brush marks, I found that moistening my finger or acid brush with SEMsolve or PRE helps flatten brush marks and feather edges without compromising the intended functionality.

will this product adhere to aluminum?

Asked by: memguy
Seam sealer should be applied to a primed surface. The substrate below the primer wouldn't matter.

Will it work to seal seams and rivets on an aluminum boat?

Asked by: MuskyMark
We have never tested this product to that level of holding water out. This is designed to be used on seams of a vehicle that only ever see water run across them.

Is this a weld thru sealer?  Should I seal before or after welding?  Thanks

Asked by: Dmarkc
You will not want to weld through this sealer. This goes on after welding.

I see this can be used on a Firewall - how runny is it?  Will it run or drip when applied on a Firewall?

Asked by: BigBlock
This is the same seam sealer that is sold in the cartridges. It is pretty thick in consistency and should not run on you at all.

Does it matter what kind of brush I use with this product?

Asked by: jdigs
It will not matter what type of brush you use. Acid brushes are some of the best to apply and spread this product.
