Description

This Detail Paint provides the correct 'warm' silver for many wire wheels, including MG, Triumph, Austin Healey and Jaguar. Also, the correct silver for many grills, air cleaner shrouds, valve covers, and virtually any under-hood silver paint finishes. Detail Silver is fast drying, durable and provides excellent coverage. One can coats 6 sq. ft. or up to three wire wheels. 50-60% gloss, Max. temp 250ºF. Acrylic Lacquer formulation. 12 oz. net wt. Buy 3 or more and SAVE!

For best results remove grease and oil with PRE Painting Prep (10041 Z) and prime clean steel with Self-Etching Primer (16014 Z) Aer. or (16009 ZP) Qt. On rusty steel surfaces, prime with Eastwood Rust Encapsulator (16040Z) Aer. or (16045ZP) QT. Buy 3 or more and SAVE!

Application Tips

Detail Silver is an acrylic lacquer that withstands up to 250 degrees F, and covers 6 sq ft. Detail Silver works great on wire wheels and some underhood parts on sports cars. Two or three coats are required for full coverage on most wheels. Use in a well ventilated area, or use a respirator like our Pro Respirator (34029). For best results prime bare metal surfaces with Self Etching Primer Aer. (16014Z) or Qt. (16009ZP). For additional gloss and durability cured Detail Silver may be topcoated with Diamond Clear Gloss for Painted Surfaces (10196Z).
