Rated 3 out of 5 by from Dented Quart Can I purchased (2) cans of the Extreme Chassis Black. One of the cans has (3) dents in it. This did not happen during shipping; the box & packaging were fine. The paint is probably fine, but really? Ship out a dented can?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from did not adhere blasted entire frame and shot shopline black epoxy primer JP377 which I have used for years. I shot the chassis black topcoat after 3 hours of epoxy cure and after two days the chassis black came off in sheets. It did not chemically adhere to the epoxy which it should have. I had to remove the old topcoat, scuff and reshoot the chassis black again. What a pain. Eastwood did stand behind it and provided me paint for the second attempt. Final finish looks great but my warning is you must scuff whatever primer you use for max adhesion.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Almost like Powdercoat in a can paint adheres to surfaces very well. it is thick enough that it has a powdercoat-like quality. Seems like it grabs on to the surface with good prep of course. Nice quality sheen to the paint. Thank you!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Product I am restoring a Classic Datsun Z and have used the satin extreme chassis black to coat all chassis an suspension parts. This stuff is super tough. If the part is properly prepared it sticks like glue and is very chip resistant. Happy with the coverage finish and durability.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent I own and have done a lot of restorations in the last 48 years. This is the first time I've used Extreme Chassis Satin Black. Great coverage and very friendly to use. I would definitely use this on all my restorations. I'm now using it on my own personal restoration.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product at a great price I purchased ths product to paint the frame on a Blazer i"m restoring. It is very easy to spray and dried to the perfect satin sheen I was wanting. Very durable and has not chipped, flaked or scratched. I can tell you that you will be extremely satisfied with this product. I've used the aerosol spray, as well, for smaller jobs, the ones that you don't want to break the spray gun out for. It is an excellent product, too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great stuff I used this for coating the entire front end of a race car. I used the Rust Encapsulator, followed by the Chassis Black primer and finished with the Satin Extreme Chassis Black. It was the perfect sheen, and has so far been very durable. I've dropped tools directly on it and have yet to see a chip.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Poor Quality After opening the can and stirring the paint, lumps still remained in can. I then tried multiple times to strain the lumps out with little success. I had no choice but to discard the majority of the paint. I wish I had purchased the aerosol.

how many spray cans for a 1950's 1/2 ton truck frame?

Asked by: Schills
The spray cans cover approximately 8 sq ft. You would have to estimate how many square feet your truck frame is to figure out how many you will need. It would be impossible to me to tell how many you need without knowing the frame size.

After blasting your truck frame you will want to clean it with a wax and grease remover like our "Pre" and then put down an Epoxy primer prior to the Chassis Black.
