Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works on fiberglass tank I used this on a fiberglass gas tank from a flat track motorcycle. I had gas seeping through the fiberglass. I took my time with it and coated the tank very well. It is working great with the VP race fuel I am running. I let it sit for 4 days before using it and it is showing now signs of breaking down. Time will tell but at this point it was well worth it.

My diesel tractor has a 13 gal. fuel tank (Use 1 or  2 pints?) that leaks at the bottom seam. Does this sealer kit work for steel diesel tanks, or is there a different product? I'm asking because the instructions seem to be only for gasoline.

Asked by: treeguy
We recommend 2 pints for a 13 gallon tank. This kit will work for Diesel tanks perfectly.

Can this be used to seal a plastic dirtbike tank. Wanting to line my gas tank to prevent lifting of the tank graphics due to bleeding thru of fumes. The tank is an older tank without any holes or leaks.

How do you use this product? Do you just pour it in the tank through the gas cap and let it sit. Or do you have to take the tank off. Looking for a good sealer without removing the tank.

Asked by: ThomasL
To use the product you will need to remove the tank from the vehicle that it is attached to. Empty tank of fuel, instruction for use of product. http://www.eastwood.com/images/pdf/10165Q.pdf

What sealer do you use for cars that use E10 gas? That's basically all that's available anymore for regular use. Do you have another sealer to handle E10?

Asked by: JackVW
This sealer will work with fuels containing up to 10% ethanol. It is not recommended for fuels containing higher percents of ethanol.
