About Heavy-Duty Vibratory Tumbler w/Media
Vibratory tumbler lets you clean and polish small parts and hardware without time-consuming "elbow grease" and without the risk of getting the parts "launched" by a wire wheel. The vigorous tumbling action inside this parts tumbler allows the media to remove coatings and corrosion from pockets and recesses in parts like no other method, and best of all, the vibratory tumbler does all the work! Simply place your parts and media into the parts tumbler's bowl and switch the unit on.
Rust-cutting media will remove rust from nuts and bolts without rounding the edges. Stop the tumbler when parts are de-rusted. Afterwards, achieve a polished shine by re-tumbling using the dry shine media. Quicker than a rotating tumbler. Powered by your 110V AC outlet.
Vibratory tumbler includes two 12"-dia. bowls, 7 lbs. of rust-cutting media, 4 lbs. of dry shine media, instructions, and a one-year hassle-free warranty.
Built to last for years with a heavy-duty base and quiet, balanced motors with leak-free seals.
The only consumable/wear items in your tumbler is the media. The number of parts and severity of the corrosion will determine how long the media "cuts". See our complete line of media to select the appropriate media for the specific metal part. If you are cleaning hardware that is simply corroded, we recommend our Brown Pyramids Media 21913 for quick cleaning and deburring on steel, iron or stainless hardware.
Designed, engineered and tested to Eastwood's specifications.

No Replacement bowl offered
Review by Bernard -
Price Value Quality While I was happy with the results thus far. Some of the heavyier rusted items took a while but managed to do a decent job. However, the bowl wore through after about a dozen uses ( I estimate about 400 hours) and Eastwoods no longer sells the replacement bowl. So basically the tumbler is now useless.

Ok when it works ...
Review by Stephen -
Value Quality Price I bought the tumbler about 18 months ago. I have used it maybe five times. When it works, it does a nice job of cleaning crusty bolts etc... the polishing media also does a nice job.
The problem is that after the third use, it started making a different noise. Not a steady drone, but a slow pulsating noise. After the fifth use, It has stopped working.
Sending the unit from Canada to the US for repair is a costly affair. You have to pay brokerage fees every time.
It looks like I will be scrapping the unit unless I can someone local to fix it because it is too costly to have fixed in the US.
In summary, if you get a good unit, you will be happy with the results. -

After a week of trial and error
Review by CHRISTOPHER -
Price Value Quality The instructions I downloaded from the website are more helpful than what came with the unit. With a little trial and error, I am impressed with how nice the parts are turning out. After shining them up, some are getting plated using Easwood's kit (of course)

I love it
Review by CHRISTOPHER -
Price Value Quality I am still getting the hang of using the HD unit. I wish the instructions were a little more clear about how much water to add to the green media. The first batch of parts from my "reject" bucket came out covered with sludge. After washing the parts and rinsing the media, the second batch came out much better. I toss the parts in the green bowl at night and let the unit do all the work. The next morning I blow dry them and let them air dry. That night I put them in the brown media. They come out looking brand new. Minimal dust, no smell, no toxins. Can't beat that. It has paid for itself in less than a week by being able to use cruddy parts I would have replaced with new ones.

I love it

Price Value Quality I am still experimenting with motorcycle bits but I am loving it. I wish the instructions were a litle more clear on how much water to add. The first batch came out with parts covered with sludge and needed washing. I rinsed the green media. Second batch much better. After overnight tumbling with each of the media, the parts come out like new, no matter how many nooks and crannies the parts have. I am now redoing parts that I had done with wire brushes and buffing wheels. Minimal dust, no odor, no toxins to boot. The heavy duty unit does all the work while I sleep. Can't beat that. Much cheaper than ultrasonic cleaners or replacing all the parts with new ones. It has already paid for itself in less than a week.
