Rated 2 out of 5 by from not good I started out sand blasting everything and expoxy priming everything. Then painting it black then clear. Waited acouple of days then the chrome. Never looked like chrome to me. It could be it really needs to be used with a air brush more then a detail gun and a differant base color then black too dark. If you mist it from a distance and take a long breaks in between(because it takes forever to dry) it would look better. i ended up basting everything off again and going with a platnim silver paint. If your expecting something close to chrome save your money. If your ok with a aluminum kind of chrome look it will be ok. It needs alot better instrutions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome except for the clear coat I purchased 2 kits for some bumpers due to the cost of rechroming. Did the black base coat. Let it cure and the next night did the misting of the liquid chrome. I was IMPRESSED with the shine and reflection of the liquid chrome! I applied the clear in the same process, like instructed on the bottle(light mist) and this is where disappoint came in. Maybe the clear should be applied more heavily, like paint or different clear all together. The clear simply dulled the finish to silver or aluminum. Willing to experiment with the product again!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from don't buy the kit, not like plating I used the kit for various metal parts from a 55 GMC truck. The instructions were not clear; i.e. paint with gloss black then clear the black? scuff the black before applying the chrome? I even called and got different instructions. Finished product looked more like alum. Kit black is not necessary.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Liquid Chrome I used Eastwood Liquid Chrome on the molded in plastic taillamp bezels on my '79 Aspen. Was impressed with the product. It's not as good as the real thing but, it's close and a fraction of the cost to have them plated. I am totally satisfied with the results.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It isn't chrome I would agree with" not good" and his evaluation of the product. No instructions. It came out more of a platinum gray. Probably due to not using an airbrush gun.Chrome plating is chrome.if that is what you want, don't buy this

which black paint do you recommend I use with your chrome paint?

Asked by: Larryh
This kit comes with gloss black urethane base coat. If not buying this kit, our Blvd Black Single Stage Urethane is a good glossy black.

Can this be used to coat brake calipers?

Asked by: sammiet3d
I would not recommend this to be used on calipers. It does not have a high enough heat tolerance

Can this be used on auto plastic  like bumpers and grills

Asked by: 40fordron
This can be used on prepped plastic parts. You will need a very smooth glossy black finish before applying the chrome.

how much area will this kit cover . Would there be enough to coat a 1936 chevy pickup bumper and headlight buckets?

Asked by: chas
This product is applied in light coats and generally covers approximately 10-15sq ft. One kit would probably be enough, but two would be better to have on hand to ensure you are able to complete the job.
