Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Used product on a Street damper, that was not coated. Although I had painted with Duplicolor clear engine paint, over time it begin to rust. Then it was media blasted and repainted with Duplicolor black. The timing marks could not be painted white, and look good. Took a chance on this product worked great..The minute amount need to coated the balancer made it easy to paint timing marks. I used the Gloss Diamond clear to give it a little shine.....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product for the hobbist. Excellent finish for restoring nuts, bolts, and linkage for the old car hobbist. I flash plate my carburetor hardware with the Eastwood Metal Blackening Solution after glass bead blastiing. After the rinse and drying I clear coat the larger carb parts for a lasting finish. Any hardware I don't clear coat I spray with WD 40. My carbs look great when I am finished. Ermits

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product From what I have read most people have purchased this product for automotive purposes. I bought the Eastwood blackening solution to use on my rifles and shotguns and it works great my guns look like new, along as you decrease and use warm water with it .I liked the results so much I purchased a second bottle, thanks Eastwood.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very usefull product Works as advertised, but only if the parts are first blasted. No amount of cleaning, degreasing, etching or solvent wash would produce and even result. I have not used the diamond clear on the finished parts, but a plain oil coating after blackening looks superb.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Slick Used this after Rust Disolver to blacken slightly rusted 1950's and 60's Jaguar tools. I was surprised how quick and easy it was. Rubbed in a lubricant when I was done. Solution, once mixed, can be reused. If you need one, use a plastic funnel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Stuff. I used this material on media blasted chassis hardware for a Corvette restoration. The solution works as advertised and creates a nice black oxide finish with very little effort.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Time consuming Less than expected results, and is time consuming. Still rusts unless coated with clear coat or oil. Never could get the dark black as shown in the pictures.
