Rated 5 out of 5 by from wow This is my third paint job and the two before the clearcoat was foggy and they were bad paint jobs, so I ordered Eastwood European Urethane clear and I painted then cleared with Eastwood wow I noticed it leveling and really laying nice on the hood so when I finished I noticed small orange peel I waited 24 hours the wet sanded it with 1500 grit then buffed it and the shine came out like the stock I was matching on a fender replacement wow it is a awesome clear! I will buy more! I paid about $74 for a gallon that my local body supply wants $200 for the same quality!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great stuff i painted my last car with polyurethane meteor gray metallic, an eastwood product. i am a novice painter. it was alright for me. i painted my recent project with the same paint and 5 days later put 3 to 4 coats of eastwoods 2 to 1 mix clear over it after sanding the car down smooth. man, what a difference. it is nice and glossy. this stuff is terrific. the 2 to 1 mix is easy to do. i mixed it as i went, it sets up quickly. it did not tend to run at all. it is the best paint job i have ever done, i am a clear coat man now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great stuff I used this clear on my corvette with my fuji 4 stage turbine sprayer and the results were spectacular! it laid the clear down so flat i was amazed. i just reduced it 2:1:.05. I wet sanded with 1500 wet/dry the next day to knock down the nibs because i don't have a booth. It sands and buffs easily i gave it a 4 star because i love glasurit, and it does out shine this stuff but, for the price and quality of this stuff, this is the first time i used this product and will use it again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good clear coat, or great! I have been painting cars professionally for years. I have used c/c's like this before. They go on somewhat dry, but that helps with not running the product. Point is, the coverage will be minimal as compared to a high solids c/c. That's actually a good thing if your working at home without the use of a paint booth. My biggest pet peeve with Eastwood is not providing the proper "Kit" to utilize the product. Once again, they sell me a gallon of 2:1 mix clear coat, with a quart of hardener. Hello! Is anyone paying attention? You will need two quarts (1/2 gal) to use all this product.Price wise it's very reasonable per amount of coverage. I would like to recommend to only use it on panel coverage not overall, because the drying out, and over spray would be a major problem.

Can this product be sprayed directly on polished aluminum?

Asked by: JoePilot
No, it is not made to be applied directly to bare metal. Use our Exo Armour instead - http://www.eastwood.com/exoarmour.html

Does the 2:1 European Urethane Clear need an activator mixed with it prior to spraying and if so what is the ratio? Also, what does the 2:1 represent?

Asked by: Marlin1952
The 2:1 European Clear requires an activator (50252ZP) to cure. 2:1 represents the mix ratio for this clear - 2 parts clear to 1 part activator.
