Exhaust detail
Your exhaust paint is excellent. I have used it several times now on new exhaust parts before installing and it adds a nice finish to the exhaust system and also holds up well over time.

Great bright silver finish on high temp apps
Good bright silver exhaust paint. Used on an expansion chamber on a small dirtbike for my daughter. Fairly bright for an exhaust paint so was a good match for a stainless fmf silencer.

Awesome paint!
My car sat in the garage for 40 years and I’m now getting it back on the road. Heavy rust was blasted off both sides of the exhaust system and Eastwood paint did the trick! No problems whatsoever.

Photo says it all
Many suppliers sell a variety of paints for their paints to cover many things. You are one of the
very few vendors that carry this paint specifically for mufflers and rear exhaust pipes. Very
grateful for this product.

Looks great
Bought this in hopes to dress up the exhaust and help reduce rusting. Came out awesome and really looks great. Only negative is that it didn't come in a brush on form.

Impressive!
My exhaust had some rust spots on the body and the seams. Also the exhaust pipe was a little rusty. I used this product and I'm very pleased with the end results. Now let's wait a few months to check the long term results

I have a set of new hooker headers. They have black paint on them. It says it will burn off after engine start up. Do I have to strip this paint off before I paint them silver before I put them on? Thanks
If there is a burn off coating on the surface- this should be removed before applying anything over.

do I need to use a primer ? Is so which product do you recommend. Thanks, Greg
A primer is not needed. Just sand the surface with 320/400 grit paper, clean and degrees then apply.

hello can you take your wheelwells to metal then spray white encapsulator and finish with exhaust paint also wanted to do frame in silver will this work for my exhaust pipes as well as my frame thank you
You could save a step and simply use our Silver Encapsulator. https://www.eastwood.com/ew-silver-rust-encapsulator-15oz-aer.html

Can i use rust encapsulator first for the rust on the exhaust pipe, muffler, and hangers then top coat with this exhaust paint?
As long as the areas to be treated will not go over 400F you can use this method.
Date published: 2018-06-15
Does this require a cure process?
Curing may be accomplished by the slow inherent heat of the engine operation in a well ventilated area.

For muffler/exhaust application is any rust removal/treatment necessary ? Thanks
You would need to remove all rust prior to applying this product so as to ensure proper adhesion and longevity of the paint.

Can your aluminum colored aerosal exhaust paint be used over stainless steel hangers and exhaust? If so is it necessary to spray the system with a primer (self etching or rust resisting primer?
You could certainly apply this over top of a properly prepped stainless steel exhaust. No primer necessary.
