Can I control when to punch a hole? Or does itbpunch a hole every time it closes to make the flange?

You can control when the unit punches. There is a lever that you depress to activate the unit.

Maybe a dumb question, what is a flanger and will it punch holes in a 1960's British car sheet metal?

Asked by: 4Mee
A flanger puts an offset flange in the metal, so that you can lap weld a replacement panel with the repair panel sitting flush. It will flange panels up to 20 gauge and will punch holes in panels up to 14 gauge.

Does this tool require oil lubrication ? If so, how does one accomplish this ?

Asked by: Carguy
This tool does require oil lubrication. A few drops in the air inlet at each use will ensure the tool is lubricated.
