Is the cure time still 20 minutes ? How far away does the lamp have to be ?

Asked by: Robobrien
It's 20 minutes after flow-out, which will vary depending on the part being coated, distance of the lamp from the piece, etc. The distance is not specific, just whatever works to flow-out the powder.

How hot does the lamp get? Will I need to make sure anything that can melt is out of the way?

Asked by: Meeker
400-450 degrees and yes you will need to move items out of the way or remove them while working with the heat lamp

I was wondering if you would have to move the lamp around to cure out a bike frame , or other large parts ?

Asked by: grizz
Yes, for large items the lamp will need to be moved from section to section.

FAQs

(Q) How often should the lamp be moved over the workpiece?
(A) Refer to the included instruction booklet's cure charts to determine how frequently the light should be moved.

(Q) What are some other tips?
(A) Long parts are best cured by hanging vertically, working from the bottom up. An entire part should be powder-coated before the curing process begins. If the part has seams it can be coated and cured in sections.

Safety

Do not focus the light on combustible materials. Do not operate the light unless it is securely attached to the supplied stand.
