Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works great Great system cure lamp works great. But for the money you think that Eastwood would include at minimum a color chip chart and infrared thermometer. Come on Eastwood $10 for a color chart to buy product from you. Really?!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent Customer Service My IR cure system arrived on a Saturday evening. I was disappointed to see one of the elements on the lamp had been broken during shipping. I emailed customer service Sunday night and included a picture. On Monday morning I got a call from Eastwood. They shipped a new element out that day and i received on Wednesday. Awesome job. The system works as described. The alligator clip could be better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to Use Great Finished Product Watched the video, purchased the system, arrived quickly. I have powder coated large skid plates (in steps) and even nuts and bolts. The finish is great, setup is quick, cleanup is easy, and I am very pleased.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ouststanding Powder Coating Kit. Great for just about anything, easy to use and clean up is a snap, however the clip could use some design work.

The lamp itself will get to temperature and you would just place it in front of the item

Can the I cure system cure a part with out using an oven?

Asked by: Oscar
This cure lamp is intended for curing parts without an oven. There are times where a part may be too large to fit in an oven, and a lamp like this allows users to cure the part a section at a time.

About IR Cure System With Dual Voltage Gun

Why powder coat? Because it gives you one of the most economical, color-durable, and longest-lasting finishes available. You'll find powder-coated surfaces are far more resistant to chipping, scratches, fading, and wear than other finishes, and the color selection is virtually unlimited, with high and low gloss, metallic, and clear finishes available. And thanks to the UV resistance of many of the powders, colors stay bright and vibrant longer. Texture selections range from smooth surfaces to a wrinkled or matte finish, plus rough textures designed for hiding surface imperfections.

Light housing measures 12.25" wide x 9.5" high x 6" deep. Lamp can be tilted 45 degrees up or down. 10" arm connects the light to the stand and can be locked in any position on the stand from 1' to 6' above the floor. Unit is rated at 1800 watts, and requires a 120vAC 15-amp circuit.

FAQ's

(Q) How often should the lamp be moved over the workpiece?
(A) Refer to the included instruction booklet's cure charts to determine how frequently the light should be moved.

(Q) What are some other tips?
(A) Long parts are best cured by hanging vertically, working from the bottom up. An entire part should be powder-coated before the curing process begins. If the part has seams it can be coated and cured in sections.

Safety

Do not focus the light on combustible materials. Do not operate the light unless it is securely attached to the supplied stand.
