Rated 5 out of 5 by from One outstanding Helmet My new large view auto darken welding helmet was a purchase that I should have made sooner. The fit when I'm wearing it is very comfortable and the large view is a must for any welder. I purchased the new helmet to replace an older helmet with a small view and the difference is so much better. It is much easier to see what you are welding weather you are welding overhead, horizontal,, vertical, or flat. The auto darkening feature works very well in all types of welding. The helmet construction is as good as any helmet I've used or tried in the past. I would definitely recommend this helmet to anyone doing any type of welding.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I agree......... As another review says, the helmet seems to be a good value, multi-adjustable headband and LCD panel, large clear window. Very nice for a sub-$100 helmet. BUT......I agree that the shade adjustment, located on the outside of the helmet, while a nice feature in it's location, is too easy to turn. There needs to be a friction washer or detent added to make accidental adjustment less likely.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great with, one litle thing well great considering the miller one is 160.00 this one is 89.99 works great i can see and when the arc fires the lens darkens, is adjustable sesativity and delay is adjustable as well. the only thing is the darkening adjustment knob is real real easy to turn, i know i could inadvertenly bumb the nob and it would twist changing the darkening level. but again its a real real nice lid. latch that fits around the head is comfy and secure

Rated 1 out of 5 by from a great looking helmet to bad i never got to try it out, i tried adjusting the head band, the mechanism popped open, and small pieces popped out, which one was lost, also it did not open wide enough to fit over my welding cap, also the lens is wide, what good is it if it is so low, when i put the helmet on, all i saw was top o shield, where there was no view opening, a nice looking helmet, a poor design, i sent it back immediately, waiting for a refund on credit card. ik not negative or rarely complain.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Helmet works fine but.... The helmet did not auto darken as I received it. Being an electronic technician, my first instinct is to check out the supplied batteries, and sure enough one of the two button battery is weak. A trip to drug store and 8 dollars later, helmet works as it should be. No complaints here.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good value This helmet works as nicely as any, but you must treat it gently. Take care of your tools, even inexpensive ones, and you will get your money's worth out of them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well The auto darling feature of this helmet works very well. My only complaints are: (1) the darkness adjusting knob on the side does not maintain its position well and (2) the up-down helmet tension adjusting knobs on the side will not maintain tension on the helmet and it will not stay up or down without re-tensioning the helmet to headgear knobs every 3 to 4 up-down cycles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just great! This is a great quality hood. I have had no trouble with it. Yes, the shade adjustment knob is very easy to turn, but unless I'm actually turning it, it stays right where I want it. I am extremely satisfied with this helmet price and all!
