Eastwood MIG135 and Versa Cut Plasma Cutter Kit is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Products Both products work as they should. I was very impressed with the plasma cutter. The welder I'm having a little problem with getting the wire tension just right, but it's not a really big deal. The plasma cutter works much better then I had expected. The welder is great for auto body repair. Everything was packaged well and there was no damage or concerns.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from first month evaluation I work in the automotive industry and frequently utilize powerful high end tig, mig and plasma cutters. This kit was purchased for my daughter and appears to work very well. The only problem I had was that the plasma units power switch would stay on in either mode. Required simple rewiring of the switch. If you plan on cutting aluminum with it be prepared to step it up to the 240v/30a plug. Otherwise they appear to be worth the price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Actual expierance with tool... i do not own a unit of my own but, I have used them many times for showcase & trophy car builds and it is almost always able to hit the mark, the only set back is the short work time @ full throtle. i would recommend it for anyone doing auto body fab. or repair and mild susp. & frame work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little garage welder/TIG combo I needed to make mounts to attach to bed and do some sheet metal work to my custom truck that I'm building and this combo was an MVP. Worked flawlessly, switching from structural mounts to thin sheet metal quickly and easily.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Have not been able to weld yet. The welder they sent me did not work. It looked like a good value. The plasma cutter works well. The welder did not work properly. They sent me a new drive motor. Could not change just the motor. Waiting for a new welder. Disappointed.

Can you run the flux wire without gas with the Eastwood MIG135?

Asked by: Koda24
The MIG135 can run solid wire with shielding gas or flux-cored wire without gas. To switch between the two, you reverse the polarity, which is a simple job that takes about a minute to change.

I read that the Mig 135 comes with 023 wire? Is that the same as 025 that I run in my 120 Lincoln? Will the cable accept a 030 wire and tip?

About MIG Welder 135 And Versa-Cut Plasma Cutter 40

MIG 135 welder is designed for the home hobbyist and light fabricator. Welder comes complete (except for the gas cylinder) and ready to weld 24-gauge to 1/4" mild steel and stainless. Welder has a 20% duty cycle at 90 amps, and 25-135-amp welding range. Feeds wire at 39"-468" per minute, and has infinitely adjustable wire speed and heat settings. Includes a precision-drive motor, regulator with hose, wire, tips and accessories...just add your own cylinder of CO2/Argon. "Quick Set" weld chart specifies settings for each material thickness, eliminating guesswork and assuring complete penetration. Backed by Eastwood's no-hassle return policy and a 3-year manufacturer's warranty.
Plasma Cutter
This innovative, affordable, plasma cutter was designed and developed by Eastwood's own R&D staff, and tested in-house on the same type of real-life projects you'll use it for. It doesn't matter where you need to work, because this plasma cutter's voltage-sensing technology lets you use either a 110v or 220v outlet with our adapter cord. Works with any standard home- or shop-type air compressor within a range of 20-65 psi; internal moisture separator ensures dry air is delivered to the torch. Rated 140 volts at 40 amps. Duty cycle: 60% at 40 amps. Weighs less than 30 lbs., for easier portability.

What is "Plasma Cutting"? Plasma cutting utilizes a high-velocity jet of ionized gas (plasma) that conducts electricity from the torch of the plasma cutter to your metal workpiece. That directed plasma stream (about 30,000 degrees F) heats the workpiece, converting the metal to molten slag. That high-velocity stream literally blows the molten metal away, leaving a clean, precise cut.
