No-Mess Oil Filter Wrenches is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good idea, execution questionable It keeps the oil from running down your arm but you need a regular oil filter wrench to loosen the filter, then you need room around the filter for the bellows to fit, then you need somewhere to store the thing with all that oil inside.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from What do they fit?? I bought several sizes to use in my business and haven't used one yet. They are all too big for the Japanese cars where you really need them

Which size wrench would be for use on a Wix 51794 / Napa 1794 Oil Filter?

Asked by: ULLWN
13951 appears to be the correct tool for this filter based off of cross referencing this filter to fitting '73-93 GMC trucks. Please verify your vehicle on the selection chart found here to ensure the correct tool is purchased. http://www.eastwood.com/images/pdf/vehicle_fit_guide_oil_filter_wrench.pdf

No-Mess Oil Filter Wrenches

Item #13949a

Capture the excess oil, protect your hands, eliminate the mess!

Change your vehicle's oil without getting oil on your hands, floor or undercarriage! It's worth a minute-and-a-half of your time to watch our No-Mess Oil Filter Wrench in action in the video below. You'll see how easy and neat it is to use: (1) With the filter still on the vehicle, slide the NMOFW device onto the filter. It's grooved inside to grip the filter, and the flexible bellows seal against the engine block. (2) Loosen the filter with your 3/8"-drive ratchet (insert in the square opening at the bottom of the device). The excess oil will be retained inside this device, to pour out easily afterward. No more oil on your hands, floor or undercarriage!

About No-Mess Oil Filter Wrenches

Oil filters are designed to clean oil for proper operation and lubrication of the engine, and changing the oil every 3000-5000 miles (depending on make) is key to that engine's life. The oil and filter change is the #1 routine maintenance procedure performed by DIYers and professionals, and our No-Mess Filter Wrench device makes it so much easier and cleaner! Oil won't leak from the filter as the filter is unscrewed, and you'll avoid a potential "hot oil" safety issue. Patent-pending.

Eastwood No-Mess Oil Filter Wrench

1. While the filter is on the vehicle, slide the tool on the filter. The inside of the tool is grooved so it forms a good grip on the filter. The flexible bellows will seal against the engine block.

2. Loosen the filter with a 3/8"-drive ratchet (insert in the square opening on the bottom of the tool). Reverse the ratchet direction to loosen the tool from the filter.

3. Remove. The excess oil is retained in the tool! No more oil on your hands, floor or undercarriage!

Always wear appropriate eye protection.
