What is Candy Paint?
Automotive candy paint is a "midcoat" paint commonly used in the street rod community. In effect, Eastwood Candeez are a clear coat that's been tinted; this makes them translucent and allows the base coat underneath to alter the hue or appearance. Many people apply candy paint over metallics such as silver and gold for the most dramatic effect. However, using a basic white base can still fit your preferences.
