Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Combo I used this paint on my 1998 Dodge Durango. Ive looked all over for a nice easy application for a matte black finish. The paint went on easy and quick. I was surprised with how simple it went on, and the results are amazing. I get looks every time i drive it. This paint really set off the feel i was trying to get for the truck. It gives it that tough off road look that i was looking for. It really sets off the lift and bigger mud tires i put on it. It went over the bondo and primer awesome. I couldnt have asked for a better product for the price. I will use this product again on my new project a 1976 Vette.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from awesome paint I am not going to lie I was surprised at how nice this paint turned out. i bought it to paint a fiberglass hood on my truck to give it that old muscle car look. I was not looking to spend a lot of money on paint due to the fact that I was not sure that i would like the look. I am by no means a professional painter most paints that get sprayed end up getting wet sanded not this one. The paint it went on nice an smooth. The paint was easy to mix easy to spray has a nice finish and look to it. I will buy this line of paint agian.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product I used this on my 1965 pickup to use until I could afford to paint it and have fell in love with it now so who knows when I'll paint now. I still have to get the bed done but using the rat rod black, over eastwood epoxy black, using the starting line gun kit everything worked well togather.I ve used sevral items from easwood with great results.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The paint is great/ lose the rattle can idea's and use this Put the paint on my 94 firebird. Sprayed on real nice with a HVLP. Has a nice flat black look with a bit of texture to it. I mixed it 3:1 as stated on the directions. Had enough to cover the whole car and had some left over. Great Paint for the price and if your looking into the flat black paint this was the best solution i found.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from rat rod black paint Very easy to mix, spray and gives a slightly textured dark black(darker than epoxy primer). It covered the bondo more than the epoxy primer did so I'm glad I used this on top of the epoxy primer. Great combination. I painted a 1957 Ford car with this and it looks great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WOW!!!!! I bought the paint after seeing pictures of the '55 Chevy on the advertisement. I knew at once it was the look I was after for my '56. I don't paint, had a local guy do the spray job. Couldn't be happier, exactly what I was after, even better!!!!!

Before ordering, was wondering...what pressure at the gun, and what temperature can this be sprayed in?

Asked by: toolman
You will want 25-30 psi at the gun using an HVLP spray gun. 70F is an ideal temperature to apply. Here is the product information sheet for our single stage paints. http://www.eastwood.com/images/pdf/50200INST.pdf

If I wanted to use a semi-gloss clear for a set of "smoke" racing stripes what brand/make of clear could I use with this paint.

Asked by: 86montemaxss
You can leave the Rat Rod Satin Black as-is or you could use our Rat Rod Satin Clear over it for more protection. http://www.eastwood.com/eastwood-rat-rod-satin-clear-quart-kit.html
