About Underhood Black Semi Gloss Aerosol 11 ounce
Underhood Black is the correct shade of black underhood paint, having just the right 10-20 percent semi-gloss finish most car manufacturers use for engine-compartment paint on radiator supports, inner fender walls, lug wrenches, jack bases, underhood brackets and other parts. Black underhood paints from typical hardware stores are either too thick, too glossy, or the wrong color.
Just clean, degrease, and prepare the parts well (use our Self-Etching Primers), then spray-on this engine-compartment paint for a professional, factory-like, underhood paint finish. Acrylic lacquer withstands up to 250 degrees F and goes on thin for a satin-smooth finish that doesn’t hide surface details. Do not use with enamel primers. One 11-oz. aerosol can covers 6 square feet. Made in the USA.
Due to regulations pertaining to paint recycling, at this time we are unable to ship this product to Alberta, Canada.

Good finish, but doesn't cover well
Review by Tim -
Value Quality Price This paint leaves a nice final finish, but be aware that it doesn't cover well. It seems to have a low solids content, and requires lots of coats to black out a part. I recommend applying black primer first, before applying this paint.

Great Paint
Review by cpd1212 -
Value Quality Price This worked great under the hood of my 69 Fury. I used two different brands of paint under the hood for varying effects of gloss and I should have just used all Eastwood. Went on great and dried fast. The difference was amazing and really made the engine bay look great.

Price Value Quality We use both the aerosol (small parts, water pump. etc) and the uart thru a spray gun (inner fenders) on my 1968 Firebird. Smooth finish, easy to apply, would recommend it to anyone for a quality restoration. Very pleased with the product!

Blackout
Review by Trainman -
Quality Price Value I have used at least six cans. They blend well and match the original color. They dry quickly and I have used them on other projects other than cars where I want a durable low gloss color.
