About Gas Tank Sealer Kit For Motorcycles
A clean supply of fuel is critical to the performance of your vehicle - hard starting, stumbling under load, and sluggish response may be symptoms that your car's fuel system is dirty. The best way to ensure that the fuel is clean is to be certain that the fuel tank is free of rust. This Gas Tank Sealer Kit seals minor leaks and can save you a great deal of time and money in trying to locate a replacement tank. For metal tanks up to 12 gallons. Ethanol blended fuels may adversely affect this sealer. For best results, do not use with E10 - E85 fuels.
This kit includes 1 pint of Rust Remover, a 7 oz. container of Metal Wash and 1 pint of sealer with instructions. Ethanol blended fuels may adversely affect this sealer. For best results, do not use with E10 - E85 fuels.
Extra pints of Sealer are available individually as part #10087Z. Not for use in tanks containing Nitro Methane or Aniline oils.
Additional sealer can be applied if the coating hasn't been exposed to fuel. Should the need arise to remove old sealer, pour in a gallon or more of acetone. It may take up to 2 days for the acetone to completely dissolve the old sealer. If you wish to use this system on a fiberglass tank, test for com- patibility by exposing an inconspicuous area to acetone to test for softening. If no excessive softening occures follow label instructions but omit Muriatic Acid and Eastwood Rust Remover steps. Omit the Muriatic Acid step if using this system in an aluminum tank.
Work in a well ventilated area. Leave at least one opening uncapped when not actually tumbling the tank.
Made in the USA.
The Gas Tank Sealer Kit will seal pin hole leaks in tanks up to 12 gallons capacity. Use in steel, stainless or aluminum tanks. Sealer withstands exposure to gas and diesel fuels. This kit requires the use of 2 quarts of Muriatic Acid, and 1 quart of Acetone, available from your local hardware or building supply. Please refer to label for complete instructions. Work in a well ventilated area, or wear a respirator like our Pro Respirator (34029). Use when ambient temperature is 60 degrees F or warmer. Allow coating to cure for at least 2 days before returning tank to service.
