This stuff may be good for small areas, but....I painted the hood of my car with this.Yes,I took it down to bare metal.Took 2 cans (3coats) to do the job. After a while, product came out clumped and blotchy and clogged spray nozzle.Let dry for several days, and went to lightly wet sand with 400 grit and it took it down to the bare metal! This didn't meet my expectations at all..:>(

Needing to prime small parts which were cleaned, sanded or blasted this product performed flawlessly. No Need to mix small batches of primer or clean my spray guns after painting saved me a lot of time. It has very good adhesion and is an excellent base for any final paint. I highly recommend this product for its performance having excellent quality as Eastwood products are known for.
