No it is not cheep, yes it is only 67 pages. Having said that -yes- I am glad I have it; the trouble shooting section has got to be worth at least two trips to wallgreens for asprin.

As stated above, book is helpful in many aspects. Troubleshooting guide is the best feature in my opinion and will be very helpful to new powder coaters

This is probably the most helpful book I've seen on demystifying the process of powdercoat. All the little tips like using a sifter and other things that are not specialty items got me going where before, I thought powdercoat was something only pros could do.

I tried doing powdercoat before getting the book, and it was ok, but with the book I've got a pretty much bullet proof process for what I do now. I do several hundred parts a month. And with the tips I've cut my powdercoat use by almost 70%. It's all about the details.

Like I use brake clean to prep my parts, and set them out in the sun before to get the parts good and warm. Made my own small booth with a small dust collector which cut down on my cleanup. Also make sure to have good electrical contact with the part. And the final piece to the puzzle was the new nozzle I bought for the gun through Eastwood. Also have a special cartridge air drier in line with the filter on the gun.

To me, how can you ding for the $30 that saved me literally hundreds(not to mention the headache of shopping it out) by enabling me to do powdercoat myself? priceless IMHO.

I just received the book today and was very disappointed. It clearly is just for beginners and does not go into any technical detail. The layout and pictures are nice but it is full of a lot of fluff - an example is one chapter dedicated just on how to ship your powder coated items, another is how to advertise that you do powder coating - really! There is a lot of plugs for buying eastwood products. I really could have found the same (better) information on the internet for free. I felt I got had.

I thought it was a good book that touches on all the aspects. But it does tend too be a little vague in some parts and missing a section or two but oveall alot of great information. Would love to see the start of a home plating setup with a similar book to help us home enthusiasts an hobbiests make one more step of a project Ours!

I have my own product that we didn't want to paint. Anodizing in the home shop worried me. I didn't like having to keep acid around with pets and kids etc. So powder coating was a great alternative. The book was a huge help and my first test worked out great. The hardest part for me was finding an oven. I didn't want a full size oven because we didn't have the space but found a great oversized toaster oven at Wallmart that was $70 and works like a champ. It's also fun and the cleanup is really easy. Powder Coating Rocks and everyone who who has found out I can do it at home is amazed. If you are new and have no knowledge of Powder Coating then this is a great book. I did think the price as a little high. Maybe offer it as a ebook download or PDF for $12 bet you would sell a lot more and cut the production cost to $0 Below is a picture of our first all black powder coated DSLR Camera Rig It came out great! Thanks Eastwood we now offer it as a $40 option to our product.

This book was advertised as a book for beginners. The author spent more time explaining how to start your own business then walking a beginner through the process on how to power coat. It does have a few good sections but I got more useful information from the instruction book that came with the gun. If it cost $15 dollars I would have given it a better review.
