Tried it out on some 20ga mild steel and it worked OK but it is a serious hand pincher. When it pops through and the handles close all the way Watch Out!. First time I tried them on 18ga mild the blade broke on the first cut. Not a good value for the money, good thing I got them on sale.

I had the same problem that "Not Working For Me" had...
I've only used the tool three times. The first two times it worked great. Cut though sheet metal like a hot knife through butter.
BUT... the third time I used it, the blade snapped.
Now I'll have to send off for replacement blades while my project sits untouched.

I was using body solder and needed something to cut 22 gauge SS sheetmetal. I broke two blades in a day and dulled a third one...my sheetmetal still isn't finished. I realize that stainless steel is hard to cut in the first place but c'mon. To Eastwood's credit, my first blade broke and they sent two more on warranty very quickly.

I really like this tool. It works very good.

The one issue I have with this tool is the plastic handle. It is not very ergonomic and the plastic is sharp on some points. When I first used the tool I did not wear gloves and I tore up my hands. Other then that this tool is great.

This tool has meet and exceeded the quality that you could ever hope to find at the hardware store by a long shot. It glides through 18ga. mild sheet steel with the aid a touch of oil. Well worth it's price.
