This is the first time I have ordered a tool from Eastwood and been let down. When making the second bend ever with the tool, the rivet broke and the tool fell apart. I realize the tool was inexpensive, but it should not fall apart within the first 5 minutes of using it.

Often as I make brake lines for race cars, I need a tight bend without crimping the line. I used many tools and methods to do this usually wasting a lot of time. This line pliers does the job easily. Now it is not a problem to make a tight bend close the fitting and get the line run just right. A must have tool for working with brake lines.

There is no subsitute for a quality bender but with the Eastwood brake pliers, tight bends in a narrow confine are very easy. There is absolutely no way you can make a brake line fit a closely in a tight place and seem so factory like as with these pliers!

I used this tool along with the Eastwood Steel 3/16 Brake line kit that came with fittings. For the price I thought it was worth a try. I found it very useful. For me it did make an tiny indention on some bends where I didn't do it well, but it never kinked or did anything close to what I would consider an issue. I used it to make a new driver side wheel to proportioning valve line, (2-3 tight 90 degree bends) came out great. I then made some custom hidden lines from the Master down to the frame. These worked great, very pleased with them and the brake line.
Save your money for a traditional bender (Posted on 8/17/12)

I bought this instead of a traditional bender, and wish I would have just bought a roller-style bender. This one left dimples in my Napa coated brake line tubing, even with mild bends. It was worth a try, but save your $$$.

Purchased Eastwood products in the past. Have your TIG, Powdercoat system, and numerous restoration products. Your products have always been first rate. This tool feels like a wrench manufactured in early 1900's China, The jaws are as rough as the handles. Being an SAE member, and working in MAC Tools corp a few years, maybe I expect too much. Do not try a serious bend..although great foy "tweeks".
