This work great on flat surfaces. i was able to strip hood to bare metal in about 40 minutes. it wears out quicker when doing small areas or jagged parts. I have bought several of these and completed the outside of a pickup. Its the lowest cost stripping pad I could find that works this well.

Takes paint off quickly and easily. for best results use very light pressure and let the disk do the work. This keeps the metal cool and saves work. Beware even though the backing pad for this product says 11k rpm i have had one explode. if you use this on an angle grinder beware of that.

It a cheap and fast way to strip a car the only bad thing about this is the heat it crate I recommend a veritable speed grinder and or buffer to help reduce heat friction.

If you are doing a complete car invest in the 7" one, its worth it. This one is great for the small corners or hard to reach areas. Wears out really fast so get plenty at once.

someone ordered these for me for a car i was working on for them and i was pretty happy with them i went thru 3 of them doing 2 doors 1 hood and a trunk lid on a 66 mustang they held up well didn't leave gouges or heavy scratches in the metal pulls rust off pretty good as well . for heavy pitting rust you might wanna do some media blasting but i didn't wanna sandblast the car itself and get sand everywhere by far the fastest paint removal without blasting in my opinion. leaves a good surface for primer i spray painted a soda can directly after lightly brushing with one of these disk and you couldn't see the scratches. if would recomend ordering extras tho they're handy to keep around

This is an excellent product for the removal of surface rust, paint and old filler. Take the guard off your angle grinder, put on your welding apron, a good dust mask, ear & eye protection and welding gloves and go to it. This generates a lot of dust so have adequate ventilation. A light touch works best and the disc lasts longer. Disc does not clog and leaves a ready to paint finish on the metal. The open weave allows the disc to cool so the metal is not scorched. Works great even on the newer thin sheet metal panels. Stay away from tar or soft undercoatings, seam sealers and adhesives. A little expensive but probably worth the money in time saved.
