I installed a new compressor with all new fittings when I installed this regulator. I had to change the orientation and thats when I noticed the plastic threads. The picture above shows metal threads. After the install I checked for leaks with soapy water and of course the regulator was leaking. I tried to redo the connection and when I took the fitting out the plastic threads started falling apart. It continues to leak slowly, so I tried to tighten the connection a bit more and then the plastic case started cracking.
Flash forward about 2 weeks and now the gauge is starting to stick. I have to tap it to get it to move. The gauge will not go over 50psi. Now I am back in the market for a regulator and filter.
