    Safety

Wear a properly fitted dust mask or respirator, safety glasses or safety shield, plus heavy gloves, long pants and a long-sleeve shirt to protect exposed skin. Make sure the deadman valve is operating properly by depressing the valve lever and releasing; the nozzle should close under its own spring pressure. If not, do not use the deadman valve until the spring or obstruction is repaired.

This is a great kit for the money. I used an Ingersoll-Rand 2hp 20 gallon 5.2CFM compressor set to 100psi with a moisture trap. I could blast really good for about one minute then another minute well and finally another full minute decent. I would then have to wait on the compressor to catch up. With a larger compressor this product really perform great. The only problem I have with the hose is that it is extremely flexible which also allows it to pinch easily. A reinforced hose would be nice but that would be much stiffer and much more difficult to work with. I live in a residential neighborhood and blasted in my driveway. When I was finished to use a garden hose to lightly shower the work area to keep the soda from blowing away. Then I just washed it down the driveway into the public drain. You do have to shake the soda container to keep the flow coming. This seems to be a common problem and all the affordable soda blasters. This is a small project only product. The sample picture on the website is probably the largest thing you ever want to blast. A more disposable gloves and sunglasses with some basic commonsense. Blast at an angle away from yourself. I accidentally hit my hand one time and it felt similar to being tattooed. I would assume with enough pressure you could injure yourself. I am very unhappy with the instructions. Since I have no experience with blasting I don’t automatically know how to use this product. The instructions tell you about all the different nozzles and tips you can by. The manual does not tell you what the purpose of the different tips and nozzles. Since I don’t know anything it would be nice to know what the purposes of these different sizes and materials. Overall I am very pleased with this product. I was blasting small aluminum parts and it saved me a ton of time.

The fill hose was rotten. I replaced it with same type hose and it still would not pick up the material. Used different pressure settings and still would not work.

Good product, and is complete. You can start blasting with everything in the kit, no need to go look for extra parts. Big problem is that unless you have a blast cabinet it is VERY messy. i had media all over my driveway. You need all protective gear listed in the manual, otherwise you end up arms stinging from the media because your hand is right next to the nozzle and from the media bouncing off the item it ends up in your hair and in your clothes.
