Pulled gun out of box, went to clean per the instructions (using eastwood pre) and the gun leaks back through the needle. Tried to replace seal with replacement unit provided with the gun to no avail. 5 days and still no response from customer service or technical support. Boxed gun up and sent back looking for a refund. Will not do any business with this company again.

OK, I'll admit (and have) that I bought these guns about two years ago, but they've been in the factory box till last week. Same problems as several others. Craters (fisheyes) caused by silicone contamination., and yes I cleaned the guns before use. Now each time I attempt to clean them, more gunk comes out of them. Eastwood evidently knows about the problem, but choses to do nothing about it. I've contacted Customer Service, but after a week, I've heard nothing. Not even an email to tell me how to correct the problem. DON"T BUY THESE GUNS!!!!

I had high anticipation when I ordered this gun. However, when I received this gun the air control valve did not work. I use this feature when I am painting to control the amount of air when shooting tight curves and crevices. I called tech service and explained the problem and they were very helpful. They said they would send another gun to replace this one. I received the new gun and after following their directions on cleaning, I started to set my controls only to find this none blew paint out the backside of the needle in the trigger assembly. I disassembled the gun completely and found the main screw for the needle was left loose. After correcting these problems I discovered the air valve on this one did not work like the first gun! I called tech support again and told them I would soak the valve in lacquer thinner to see if I could free it up. After 3 days of soaking, and some use of a pair of vise grips (well padded to avoid messing up the valve) I was able to free up the air valve. All in all, I would say this gun is a decent gun once all the problems were sorted out. However, I would say this gun is really a $69.95 - 79.95 gun. It does lay paint well but my Devillbiss low price gun does a better job for about the same amount as I paid for this gun.

I've been using devilbiss, binks, and a few other medium grade guns for quite a few years now. i just thought i would get this as maybe a primer or commercial paint gun. The first one i ordered i pulled out of the box took it apart cleaned it and set it in my paint holder ready for paint. I put a basic surface primer in it and it began to leak from the back side of the plunger down the trigger and all over my hand. I was not impressed with the quality of the manufacturing at all. This thing is like holding a 2x4 in your hand. they really missed the mark with the design. But we are talking about a 100.00 gun. i contacted eastwood and they promply exchanged it and now i have a brand new one in the box in the garage. I'll probably give it to the boy to play around with. For the newbie....I wouldn't waste my time with this gun. You already have stikes againist you with no experience so spend a little extra $ and buy something that will possibly make it look like you know what your doing. The devilbiss starting line isn't too bad for the price. I would say spend as much as you can afford. I would stay away from this unless you just plan on doing the garage paint jobs or simple stuff around the shop.

was excited to get the gun.was on sale in magazine then when ordering it was another 10bucks off.(after getting it I know why). first the air valve was not assembled,no big deal. I don't know whos' hand it fits, the handle is really fat and uncomfortable and heavy. breakdown in instructions doesn't show the whole thing. most hvlps need 25 psi this needs 43 at 12cfm not good for home owners. just hope it sprays good.will let you know.

I have been painting for over 20 years... guns I have are Sata and Develbiss and I purchased this gun as a inexpensive high build primer gun with the 2.0 mm tip. After the first attempt of using the gun, it was ripped down for a rebuild to find orifices blocked and overall poor build quality.... reassembled the gun and tinkered with it for some time to get an acceptable spray pattern, then after a few days of use the trigger broke due to metal fatigue.... went on line with Eastwood to discuss the issue, and they said one was in the mail as we spoke..... two weeks later there were still no parts in my hand, contacted Eastwood again, to be told "oh yeah I remember that issue it will be in the mail today".... moral of the story .. purchase a gun locally at your jobber supply, where there will be proper customer support!!!! this is hardly a beginners gun, because it takes a person with some knowledge to get the gun working properly, I can't even imagine using this gun to lay down a proper metallic base.... barely is passable as a primer gun

This spray gun will lay paint down like a way more costly spray gun! It really does a good job and the fit to my hand is comfortable also! I would say if you are a hobby painter this is a real bargain,I personally would not throw money away on a 500 hundred dollar gun that don't perform any better than this one! I been painting for over 30 years and it makes a impressive mark on my hard to please standards! With that said ,buy it you will not be disappointed!
