About POR-15 Stirling Silver Top Coat Quart

POR-15 Top Coats have attributes similar to POR-15 Rust Prevention Coating, but with no sensitivity to UV light. All are flexible, non-porous, extremely scratch resistant and chip resistant and will strengthen when exposed to moisture. Use over POR-15 Rust prevention and other finishes. They will protect against corrosion and won't crack, peel or chip! Chassis Coat has a semi-gloss appearance. For maximum durability Chassis Coat should be clear coated.

Q: Is Stirling Silver the “perfect” topcoat, or does it have drawbacks? A: Unfortunately, nothing is perfect in this world, not even Stirling Silver! Like POR-15, it won’t come off your hands if you let it dry; it’ll harden in the can if you leave the lid off and dip your brush directly in the can; it may occasionally have some tiny imperfections in its finish, so we can’t call it a perfect cosmetic coating; and finally, it is certainly not inexpensive. It’s very diffi cult to make, and the base resins are very expensive.

Always wear skin, eye and respiratory protection when painting. Always use in a well ventilated area away from open flame. For more specific safety warnings, consult MSDS.
