I bought a can of this product a few years ago to remove some crud from what was left of a vinyl top.It didn't work very well on that, but ONE DROP of this on my fender took it down to bare metal!!Iused the rest of the can on my roof and it took it down to primer.Fast forward to last week.I bought another can of this (glad there was no price increase)to strip the original enamel paint off of my hood.I had already used a can of old aircraft stripper on it, so I was half way there.I went to use this stuff and something wasn't the same.It didn't smell as pungent, and it didn't work worth a fiddler's f-,er,fiddle!I used the entire can on my hood, following the instructions to the letter and taking the required precautions (hand, face and eye protection). The paint came off allright and I did manage to get it to bare metal, but not without a boatload of additional sanding and elbow grease. The dirty little secret to this product is that it has a limited shelf life. After about between 6 months to a year after it is manufactured, this product loses it's punch.I don't fault Eastwood on this one;I blame myself because had I bought it direct from the POR-15 people,I may have had more favorable results.
