About Eastwood Rubberized Rust Encapsulator Quart

Unlike off the shelf under coatings, Rubberized Rust Encapsulator can be applied directly over rust and without the bubbling that creates air pockets thus trapping rust. Since its engineered with high tech flex agents, its pliable finish protects surfaces from abrasions, road hazards and deadens sound. So durable it exceeded 1,000 hours of salt spray chamber testing, this surpasses the standards for a 2 component catalyzed coating! Simply apply with an undercoating gun, such as 20441, directly over rust or bare metal, no need to topcoat. Remains flexible and durable. Satin black finish.

I am restoring a '67 Mustang coupe and after media blasting & wire brusing, I applied Rust Converter on previously rusty areas and followed up with Rubberized Rust Encapsulator and was very happy with the results! A friend loaned me the Eastwood undercoating gun and it laid down a perfect undercoat that is as uniform as a professional job! I have worked under the car since it was applied and bumpeh coating with tools and it is tough and forgiving. I have shown it to friends and they are amazed that with the appearance and can't believe I applied it so easily. Great products!

This product seems ok, I haven't had it on long so time will tell and I can get back to you on that but I'd like to take this chance to say customer service is lacking. I have bought many things from eastwood and am usually happy. I bought an electric paint shaker earlier this year and have had non stop problems when I got ahold of eastwood customer service they offered no real help and have yet to get back to me. luckly that product is no longer available. I question whether or not I want to deal with eastwood in the future. I'm very disapointed

I bought this product with the intent of using it to seal a galvanized axle on a boat trailer I was rebuilding. I called Tech Support multiple times to ask if this was the best product for this use. I got voicemail, left a message and NEVER got a call back. I then emailed Tech Support and got a reply recommending a different product. When I asked more questions, I got conflicting advice? REALLY?? Extremely frustrating how much time I wasted with all this. I'm returning the product as I'm very turned off by Eastwood.
