Worthless instructions

Overall for the money I think its great, but instructions don't even mention the right size bolts that come with the kit. I think it will really help someone who's on a budget.Price Value Quality -
Nice once you figure out how to put together

Works good now that I got it together right. The instructions are horrible. The tape does slide off, but if you use both the holders together on one side(one on each side of the tape to keep it from sliding off) it works good. Also there are some metal bushings that go inside the tape holders that are not in the instructions. I eliminated a couple of the plastic pieces for the paper. Basically from outside in, had plastic piece, spring, washer and paper roll. The other side from paper roll out, had washer, spring and plastic piece. Hope that makes sense!!Quality Price Value -
had to modify

masking tape loose on tape spool. After paper role adjustment to clear frame leg, had to modify tape spool and adjust with spacers and washers to align properly on paper where tape would not hit stool leg JOHNQuality Price Value -
Perfect hobbyist tool

I'm in the process of my first attempt at painting a car. When you're on a budget, spending money on a masking machine goes far down the list. However, this was such a great value I couldn't pass up the productivity gain. Body work is hard enough and I didn't want to mess around with paper and tape too. It's perfect for the hobbyist.Price Value Quality
Pros:
- excellent price to quality
- easy to use
- saves a ton of fumbling around with tape and paper
Cons:
- setup instructions are weak for an amateur, a couple of pictures with paper and tape in it would have saved me some time. (I had to go to a CarCraft article to see a picture with paper in it)
- putting it together took more time than I wanted. (trick, put it all together loose first. I got really stuck on loading the paper onto the rod. Not intuitive what the springs and clamps do. The good news is it's very forgiving so just go for it based on the pictures.)
