I bought a Plasma Cutter 60 Amp Versa- Cut and had used it for Apx 30 minutes when it burned up. Called the company and they immediately told me that they would pay for shipping it back and send me a new one upon reciept of it. they did all the work. Sent Fed X after it in 2 days and i got a replacement in a week. at no cost to me. This one is working fine and no problems. Thank You Eastwood for being so nice.

Product came the next day worked very well. My problem is the torch requires threaded electrodes. unfortunately, the website does not show threaded electrodes that fit my torch head. I ordered the electrodes listed on the website for Versa 60, but the ones that came did not have threads. Customer Service was very quick to replace the electrodes sent in error. I appreciated the quick service. The problem remains, the threaded electrodes needed are not listed on the website.

This plasma cuts steel like scissors cut paper. I have been making due with my old plasma for 15 yrs. It struggles with 1/8 thick sheet metal. I am amazed with this plasma. To help others, it is designed to continue to circulate air in order to cool tip.

After about 3 months of purchasing my 60 amp Versa-Cut I heard a loud pop as I was cutting. It went dead! I called Tech. Support and was informed that the capasitor had likely failed. I was told they would have Fed Ex pick it up and they would send me a new unit. That's exactly what happened. Couldn't be happier.

I ordered a Eastwood Versa Cut 60 from Eastwood. I received it in a few days. I started it up and found that the air would not shut off at the unit. I immediately called Eastwood Tech and they told me that it was probably the gun and they would send me a new one. I wait a work week and did not see or hear anything from Eastwood. I called Eastwood to find out about the replacement gun being sent and customer service told me that they never received the request. After being put on hold for a length of time they told be they would send one out the next work day. I received the new gun but that did not correct the problem. I called Eastwood again and talked with a tech and he told me he would send me a whole new unit. I asked to put me on the priority list and he said it would be sent out that day of first thing the next morning. I called the next day after lunch and found out that customer service still did not have any record of that request. Wow. She told me that in order for me to receive a new unit, I would first have to return the one I have which could take a few weeks. What a nightmare. I told her that Eastwood can pick up their product. It is still sitting on my porch at this time. If I am going to have this much of a problem with getting a new working plasma cutter, what is it going to be like to get it fixed or serviced.

I received the machine a week ago and it went down 24 hours after I got it. It was delivered on a Friday and went down Saturday afternoon. I waited until Monday to call Tech support 9AM exactly when they open. I was transferred to a answering machine and told to leave a message and they would get back to me within 48 hours!?(Steam) 3 hours later they did call me back. I explained my problem. They told me they'd send out a new torch. They said I'd receive a call later that day with shipping info. No call. I called back Teusday afternoon and they had no record I even called in the first place. Went through the process again and did receive a call that afternoon with the shipping info. It's now Friday 9AM and my machine is still down. No overnight shipping here. I went with the Eastwood machine over some of the other similarly priced 60 amp machines because of the ravings of their great customer service. I know anyone can make a mistake. I'll update this review when the new torch gets here and if I have any further contacts with customer service.

I received my plasma cutter several weeks ago and so far I have been very happy with it .I can see there is a learning curve with plasma cutting so I should be even happier.

My point of comparison is torch cutting. This is so much better. It does a pencil lead thin cut in 1/4" steel with no slag buggers on the bottom. No fuss, no muss, pretty much as fast as I can move the torch.

Set up was easy. At first it didn't want to light up but I unplugged the hose and plugged it back in again and off it went.

I tend to have shaky hands and the little wire guide that came with it is great for holding the tip at the right distance. I'm also learning to guide it against a piece of angle iron clamped to the piece I'm cutting.

I still find it amazing that this thing can do what a torch can do with only air and electricity, and it does it so much better.
