i purchased these tools to add to my collection for those small jobs where i don't want to break out my CP stuff. I have been very pleased with how they have performed. the small sander has become something of a favorite since it fits nicely in the hand and runs smoothly. i like. i would recommend to a friend.

Seems to be a very good deal, but what "David" posted about the DA sander spitting oil all over the back of the pad and workpiece is true, although the DA action is smooth at least. I guess its OK if you are taking something down to bare metal. Also, the pistol grip sander had a substantial air leak internally due to poorly machined threads in the intake sieve where it threads into the body, and was using a cut O-ring. I had no response when I tried to contact customer service about that, either. It spits water (condensation) out of the front exhaust onto the workpiece, but at least it isn't oil...

Neither one of these tools worked very well for me. The 6 inch sander would only work when the adjustment knob was in a certain position and was very touchy. Then it wouldn't work at all. I could hear air leaking internally. Also the adhesive backed sanding discs didn't adhere very well and would fly off like a frisbie .A hook and loop system is much better than this. This sander has front exhaust and would spit out oil on to the back of the disc and on to the workpiece making a mess. better . The small sander had a bind in it internally. I had to manually spin the sanding disc holder to get it to start and at times it wouldn't turn at all. Ithought there might have been something wrong with my compressor but the pressure was correct and my other tools that use more CFM worked fine. I have decided to return these for a refund.

I have owned the most expensive air tools (CP/Sioux, etc) and they do not seem to operate any better or longer than those I have purchased from "Eastwood".

In the last 45-50 years I have gone through a lot of air tools, so I feel qualified to comment. The air tools seem to be of the best quality.
